Who are the angels—Really?
An ongoing essay on angels

I feel like there is a gap of information in most people’s understanding of angels and so I decided to write what I have learned about angels in the last few years from Jesus and the angels themselves. The reason I call this an ongoing essay is because I tend to forget details that often come back to me at a later date. I hope to add new information when I think about or learn it. This essay won’t cover the usual information that has been gathered from biblical studies. Like other things I tend to write, it will give new and often odd tidbits of unusual information. But that’s ok, the subject itself is strange and open to interpretation.
The most true thing that can be said about angels is that almost everyone likes them. The three major religions have angels in their sacred tests. And who doesn’t like the beautiful paintings by Raphael and other artists of angels floating in the sky with pure white wings or the little winged cherubs who sit on clouds. Who doesn’t like the silver Christmas angel with fluffy wings that light up for the top of the Christmas tree or glittery cards with stylized angels on the front. All this we love, but do any of us still believe that the glitter of Christmas angels or Raphael’s paintings truly define what angels look like? Aren’t we too modern to believe angels have wings like birds or doves. A few hundred years ago a bird in flight was probably the only way to imagine something moving through the sky, hence angels painted with wings like birds.
A few
stories from the Bible will point this out. The angels who visited Abraham and
Still, there are angels who were created before humankind according to the bible. Some statements in the bible we can assume were made according to the time-frame of the prophet writing about the angels. They didn’t know what we know now, about the vastness of space, the potential for other beings out there created by God, or the multiple planets where other beings might come from. However great their mind, it was limited by the time they lived in, just as our own minds are limited.
Some dictionary of angels list a hierarchy of angels with numerous attributes, but this information comes from thousands of years ago and the only real definition we have for angels is that they serve as God's messengers. Angels have appeared and disappeared doing God’s work, but I hardly think their only purpose is to carry messages from one dimension to another. They must have more and varied duties than a letter carrier, as most of us would agree. Most of us believe that angels have interacted in some lives in miraculous ways. Many people have seen angels, and stand abashed at their not realizing they’d met an angel until much later. Some people see angels in other people. Usually, I heard angels speak to me, but Jesus has also taken me to visit with angels.
Angels are a broad subject and I am not expert enough to write on all angels. Usually, when we say “angels” we mistakenly ascribe all angels to a single category as if every angel were of the same type and comes from the same place, which is likely not true, so I have narrowed this essay down to a single, select group of angels in an attempt to explain: Where they come from, why they are here, why they seem able to fly, and how they appear and disappear. To explain this select group, this essay centers on two verses from Revelation:
14:3 They were singing (what
seemed to be) a new hymn before the throne, before the four living creatures
and the elders. No one could learn this hymn except the hundred and forty-four
thousand who had been ransomed from the earth. [New American Bible] [My underline]
14:4 These are they who were
not defiled with women; they are virgins[1]
and these are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They have been
ransomed as the first fruits of the human race for God and the Lamb. [New American Bible] [my underline]
These two verses bring up a number
of questions that need to be answered.
I hope to answer some of these questions, but
the main question might be: Who are the
144,000 “first fruits” and why do they need
to be ransomed from earth in the first place? “The ones who follow the Lamb
wherever he goes, were the first fruits, the people who were ransomed. It was
those same humans who will become angels for Jesus, angels who worked for Jesus
long ago and in our society even now.
As to
why they were (or will be) ransomed, the answer depends on the type of disaster
that will impact humanity or earth in the future. Possibly, it was a disaster about
to occur and the people were ransomed before the danger hit, but I have always
gotten the impression from angels that this isn’t true, or, if true, then the
ransom occurred more than once. One
might argue that they were ransomed just because they were holy. No doubt they
were holy, yet according to Revelation, this ransom event seems pre-set for a
specific time or purpose? Why at that future date? Why not now? Could it be that
“now” there is still hope and that at a potentially later time, hope will be
lost? According to Revelation, there
will be a dire need for the ransom to occur.
Another possibility comes easily to mind,
that Jesus was close by in the heavens and this made it the right time for a ransom
event. Yet, given Jesus power, which we assume is everywhere and anywhere, this
doesn't seem as likely as the first scenario—that a dire event had already
happened or was about to take place that would devastate many inhabitants of earth. It isn’t until
after fourteen chapters of woe that Revelation mentions the ransom. So why
then? Is it that the people Jesus loved on earth were in such grave danger that
he decided to save his close friends? Or does Jesus teach his close friends how
to lift themselves off the earth and away from the disaster?
Maybe we
can't answer how just yet, but we can easily speculate about what this disastrous
event, or series of events might be. We need only extrapolate from what is
going on today to find potential disasters—nuclear war, WWIII, global warming,
asteroid impact, etc. I have received
hints during meditation about the effects of the disasters, but not much that I
understood about the cause. There is a good reason for this; to treat a
potential disaster as a fact makes the potential event more solid. Jesus and his
angels are attempting to change the disaster the angels lived through into a
lesser or non-event. Therefore, it is best not to speak of such events as
actual. Also, whatever the disaster, it probably
had multiple causes that cumulated in turning the earth unlivable.
This is
not an exaggeration. I wish it was. Once, years ago, I asked an angel who was
hovering at my bedside, “What if you manage to change what happened? Then maybe
you won’t exist.”
The angel
answered me in a strong, grave voice, “We would rather have never been born.”
Her words
implied that what happened was so horrifying that they preferred death. I felt
shaken by her words and, as a consequence, never forgot them. Whatever the
actual final disaster was, the result was that people were driven underground.
Humans in some or many areas of the earth could no longer survive on its
surface. This is such a horrible statement, it makes me shudder to write it,
but I know it to be true. During travels with Jesus, we have gone down into numerous
caverns where people lived. These caverns weren't always the same, sometimes
there were groups of people sleeping, other times there were groups of people
going about their daily business, other groups seemed either quiescent or in
great distress, and some groups were using manufactured items. Looking back, I
realize that we saw various groups in different time spans. Jesus never did tell me when these people
lived in caves, but I believe a few of these visits were to people in the
future.
The angels have given me hints but I didn’t always understand the message. Regarding the disaster, it is all speculation on my part.
So, what could have happened? We all know there is already a selection of severe problems that could have intensified to drive people underground.
All these potential problems could have occurred together and pushed the stress level overboard. I don’t think the nukes were world-wide. I think they hit certain areas, but that was enough to send large populations below ground level to live. In many areas, our government and other governments have already built such bunkers. But I think people may have also escaped destruction by going into natural caves or salt caverns. Whatever the cause, in the old world of the future, the people ran for the hills, or rather under them, to hide away from death.
It is from these caves of survival, where people were forced to live horribly confined lives that they first began visiting the past. I think the first attempts were with the help of computers because some establishments were able to take their technology underground with them. I wonder if the first attempts, awkward and uncertain, may have been based on a strong feeling of hate for those of us who killed their world, and who could blame them? Emotion may have been the first means of jumping the barrier of time. If this is true, then the first people to come and visit us in the past didn’t like us very much. Certainly, not enough to show them selves to the killers of the world.
Imagine if we knew a person has destroyed all Rembrandt’s paintings and had occasion to visit that person from the future? Do you think we would be kind? I think not. When you consider what we did to the earth, and what ever the disaster was, even if it was natural, human actions probably made what happened worse. Most likely, we were the main cause. Nukes come easily to mind or radiation from nuclear plants. What did we do to the fauna of the earth? The trees, the flowers, the sky? If humans had to go underground what of earth’s green cover? It is possible that the disaster was an asteroid, but I don’t believe it. This answer seems too simple explanation.
What would it be like to live out a whole life without seeing the sky? Or trees? Or flowers? What kind of existence would any group have beneath rock? I think they also lived under a strict dictator, perhaps necessary at first. Could this be why people needed to be ransomed? This is what ransom means, to be rescued from someone or something.
As I said, the last few chapters were my own speculation. But, oddly enough, even if that specific future can be prevented, if Jesus and the angels can stop it, the angels still be with us. Angels here now, so has the disaster been prevented or not? I think it has. We can’t understand how this can be but it is probably true—because time isn’t very true, at least, not time as we currently think of it.
Speculating
about Jesus' movement through time can give us a lot of answers. The ransom
event obviously occurs in our future; yet, Jesus was the beginning. We number
our calendar years from the date of Jesus' birth, so how can he also be in our
future? I think it is proper to ask not
just, where Jesus was, but also where will he come from, and where will he go.
Then we will also understand where the angels came from and where they go. Where did Jesus come from to ransom the people? Or we might ask
if he stood as God, the Jesus of old, or a blazing Jesus come to earth again.
Regardless, though it is hard for us mere humans to picture it in our heads,
Jesus can be many places at once, certainly Jesus can be in God’s kingdom and
also here on earth as the Holy Spirit.
Jesus walks backwards and forwards through time as the Holy Spirit. His appointed angels follow in spirit. Angels are from our future. They are the people Jesus ransomed. After the people were ransomed, perhaps Jesus enhanced their mental abilities so they could follow him back in time. The verses state that the ransomed people have a new purpose, to follow the Lamb, who we know of as Jesus, and to serve God.
Not all angels are from the ransomed group of humans. The angels of the old testament may come from another source and also some of the dark angels. A few of these angry ones, also from our future, and learned to step through time on their own.
Yet, stepping through time is an odd statement because time itself tends to be odd. Time is fuzzy and there may be no such thing as a future as we think of it. Even our scientists cannot define time to their satisfaction. Their latest theory is that time is cut in pieces like slices of bread. Certainly, not our usual idea of how time flows.
Maybe a
good analogy of the way Jesus and angels can step in and out of time might be
if we compare time to a swiftly flowing river (or slices of soggy bread. ha) and
we are the fish living within it. If we crawl or flop ashore, we have went out
of what we call time. If a fisherman comes to the shore to throw us back in, he
is comparable to the people of heaven who live outside our time frame, but who
can step into it at any part of the flow. Even this analogy falls short because
time doesn’t flow at all. What it does is beyond the scope of this book because
I am not qualified to explain the ins and outs of time. I only know that Jesus
knows how to use time and so must his angels.
These
ransomed people, who we now call angels, wanted to repay Jesus by serving him.
They did this by following Jesus backwards in time. How far back? I don’t know
for sure, but at least, through the years of the New Testament, because there are
numerous reports of angels at work next to Jesus while he was a man on earth.
One example is Jesus 40 days in the desert and after the devil tempted him.
Mat 4:10 At this time, Jesus said to him, “Get away
Satan! It is written: ‘The lord your God shall you worship and him alone shall
you serve.’”
Mat 4:11 Then
the devil left him, and behold, angels came and ministered to him.
There
are reports of angel activity throughout the bible. It was an angel, Gabriel,
who announced Jesus coming birth to Mary, and it was angels who guarded Jesus
tomb. There must be many other instances where angels serve Jesus in the New
Testament. It may be that other groups of angels served God in the Old
Testament. Perhaps some angels were created before humans in a purer form of
being as some great religious writers have attested, but with our knowledge of
the universe today, we can easily imagine that other beings with different and superior
talents live on many other worlds, or dimensions, and these beings too are
likely to serve God.
Regarding
the ransom, some religious people talk about a day of glory, a Rapture, a day
when holy people will be lifted up in glory. They seem to expect this to be a one time
event where some are selected while the rest languish in hell for eternity. To
me, the horror of such a day is almost unimaginable. Jesus doesn't want such a day to ever happen,
and has been working to prevent it. The idea of leaving loved ones behind to
suffer horribly while watching a few get saved is loathsome. Imagine people
stuck here forever because they hadn't found Jesus yet? That would certainly
take the glow of happiness away from any good person who was being ‘lifted up
in Rapture.’
We can count ourselves lucky that Jesus and
all his angels are working to prevent the dehumanizing world-wide disaster,
what ever it is. Revelation is not set in stone; it is a warning of what could
happen if we don’t fix things. If Jesus and his angels are successful in
helping us help ourselves, there won’t be a need to live underground, or a need
to ransom people. If they are not successful, then there will be a number of
group rescues, not just a single one for all time.
An odd
note to think about: Many American Indian tales speak of being born from the
underground. Could they have been ransomed during the coming disaster and then
taken to another time, a past time on earth? Some even rescued from Mars? Jesus
tells me that this is true. This seems strange to us but we need to remember
that Jesus and his angel followers have overcome the restraints of time set on
most people, so why not move around backwards and forwards within it? I imagine
with the Indians it was an attempt to start humans over again in the hopes that
people would do better the next time.
Also, nothing is said about the people's need
to die first before they are ransomed. We have little information from the
bible, but I suspect if they do die first, it won’t be for long because people
in heaven are not dead. It is also possible that people will learn to lift
themselves up, with Jesus guidance. Some of us are beginning to learn how to
travel with our minds; the next step for a future generation will be to mind-travel
with their physical body. Future
generations may also use space ships but I don’t believe this is what is meant
by ransom in Revelation. Regardless of how the people are ransomed, they, the
first fruits, will be grateful, and will give lasting homage to Jesus and agree
to follow him where ever he goes, even back through time to serve people on earth
and become the angels we believe in today.
(Here we
come to a puzzle that each reader will need to sort out for themselves. Jesus
is considered to be God by many of us, yet we still separate him apart from God
as, the Son of God, Son of Man, or Holy Spirit. I suggest that Jesus has all of
these aspects, and more, but we tend to single out for reference which ever
aspect we need Jesus to be at any specific time. Obviously, my main concern is
with Jesus as a man-spirit who is always with us and who lends a hand when we
need it, even today).
The
Revelation verse uses the word virgin, which we suppose as a symbol of purity,
but we don't actually know the criteria Jesus will use to select which people
to ransom. We can surmise it will be good people, but other than that, we are
left up in the air. The word virgin has had different connotations throughout
history. From what I learned about Revelation, many words and verses have
multiple meanings. Virgin could be an allusion to the priesthood and the monks of
various religions who have chosen chastity. It could also be a metaphor for people with
pure hearts. We aren’t given more information.
As to the
number, 144,000 to be ransomed, I can’t give an explanation. Revelation was
written almost like a code book, as if God instructed it be written with
different levels of meaning. I believe this is why it declares at the end that
not a word should be changed in the writing. As code, the numbers throughout may
have multiple meanings. If so, should the number 144,000 in be taken literally?
This same number is mentioned in other verses and this gives it greater
importance. We can surmise that 144.000 was a large number of people in John's
day, but in modern times, this number might not even include all the people in
one of today's mega-churches. As if the people from all other churches were
dammed. Can you imagine the number of people that would be left upon the earth?
Today we have 7 billion people living on earth, which means that a very large
number of people would be left standing, perhaps looking up in shock. What a
picture that brings to mind. Is it reasonable to assume that the number is not meant
to be accurate? Maybe, maybe not. The number might be accurate enough for a
first ransom.
Plus, if
we consider more ways to ransom people off a planet, it might not be too small
number, after all. I can imagine a number of scenes: A space ship slipping through the clouds to
pick 144,000 people up; the mighty hand of God reaching down from the sky, a
mysterious force suddenly grabbing people up; or, we could expect that God
means to do things in the usual way—through the people.
It is
possible that Jesus might expect us to lift ourselves up. This prospect might
not seem so hard if you're already dead. It would seem that a ghost could easily
lift up when called. But a live person with a solid body is a different matter,
lifting ourselves up would be extremely difficult. Solid bodies tend to stay
grounded. Yet, some of us already follow Jesus and travel with our minds in the
universe; although, on my part, my body stays firmly in my chair. Who knows
that at some time in the future, with Jesus help, the next generation may get
better at this mental travel, good enough to bring their body with them when
they leave. Seems, impossible, but we know it is not because the angels are already
here from the future. The angels were the first fruits, the first group to
leave earth to follow Jesus.
This
brings me to the subject of the “new hymn” mentioned in the Revelation verse,
the new verse that many people will sing. I believe that many people are
singing it already. A number of people from around the earth are joining together,
mind to mind, in a single gathering to worship God. This could be considered a new
type of hymn to God. More people join all the time. At this time, Jesus is asking us to call
children to gather with us. I speculate that this moment of mental gathering
will stay as a memory in their psyche until it is needed later in life when
people are called to leave earth with Jesus as the First Fruits.
Practice
makes perfect. I m not sure who will learn the skills good enough to leave when
Jesus calls. The choice of people might depend on when the disaster befalls
earth, if it isn't prevented. I believe that various groups from different
religions have had the ability to know each other mind to mind in the past, but
kept it a secret, treating it almost like an initiation into a select inner
circle. I believe this included some people from priesthoods, nuns, and monks
of different religions, or those who chose to live simple lives in the service
of God. (Such people seem perfect candidates for ransom in tomorrow’s
disaster). Now this mental worship is broadening out to include common, ordinary
people, people who may not be so holy but who love God and humanity. So far, love seems to be the only criteria
needed to learn this new hymn to God plus the desire to meditate and stand amid
other like minded people in a mental circle of love and worship.
My first
direct experience with angels was about twenty years ago as I sat on the bed in
a meditative position. I had just gotten into a relaxed position when suddenly
two angels appeared on each side of me, grabbed me by the shoulders, and lifted
me up to stand before God. I stood in front of God shaking like a tiny mouse
would shake at the feet of a human. Frightened and awestruck, but also feeling
great wonder and amazement, I couldn't take my eyes away from this mighty being
who seemed to ebb and flow inside blazing light. It is a scene that I cannot
adequately describe, then or now. All I could see God’s voice boomed out of the
light as if to blow me down, "Heaven isn't what you think."
Then I
was abruptly dismissed and fell back on my bed. The angels were gone and didn’t
ease my return. There isn’t much more to say about the experience except that
at the time I had been thinking of the world's starving children and their severe
pain from hunger. My thinking went something like this: Wouldn’t it be better if the whole world died, then all the hungry children could all go to
heaven. After God spoke to me, I realized my thinking had been wrong and fixed
my crazy thoughts. I believe this was one reason why God spoke to me, but the
other may have been that I would one day write about my travels with Jesus.
Other than these two reasons, I can’t come up with an excuse for why God spoke
to me.
Suddenly,
I knew, first hand, that some angels are invisible, strong, and do work for God
from one dimension to another. I think it was my soul they lifted up to God,
not my body. The shock of release is probably what sent my body reeling back
into an unsteady posture which made me fall back onto the bed. The moment
didn't last long and I was too stupefied to think beyond God's words.
Regardless,
this experience guaranteed my belief in angels. I have had other contact with
angels, but can’t remember them all. One I do remember is a night while I lay
in bed and two angels visited me and I felt a buzz drill into the center of my
forehead. They then told me I was ready. I didn’t know what they meant at the
time. Now I believe they meant for me to have the third eye, a mind opening
that can send out and receive thoughts from certain people. The full purpose is
still not clear to me.
Since
then, I have learned more about angels. One of the more interesting things I
have learned is that angels can get confused as to the time and place something
is to happen. They will tell me something is going to happen soon, but it doesn't
happen for weeks or months later. One
example is the explosion that happened next to my house. For a couple of years
the angels told me not to put anything valuable in the small storage room
upstairs. This didn't bother me too much because I don't own anything valuable.
The worst I could imagine was an airplane wing taking a nip out of the corner
of the house, so didn’t bother to get insurance. I was obviously wrong. Two
houses exploded and collapsed near my own. At first, I thought my house was
broken beyond repair, but later, after living with different children for a
while, I was able to fix it up. Now it is ok and I once more have a place to
call home.
I have
noticed this time confusion in other instances too. I speculate that the
purpose they get mixed up regarding time is because they don’t pay as much
attention to what we set as the correct time. This is easier to understand if
we think of a person traveling around the world, backwards and forwards all the
time and how confused they would get regarding time. I suspect the angels have the further problem
of being from a different time all together or perhaps visiting multiple earth
times. Our present time is their past time, and I am not sure how settled they
become in our own time, whether they are just temporary visitors or meant to
stay a long while.
Another
trait I have noticed is that the angels will tell fibs, not actual lies, more
like the assurance of ok we might give to a very depressed person. I remember
one time when I had pulled a pretty dress out of the closet and sat on the bed
crying because I knew I would never have another boy friend or go to another
dance or be loved ever again. Suddenly, an angel’s voice popped out of the air
and said to me, "Yes, you will." Words of comfort but so far, I have
not found a boyfriend or danced, which would be hard to do with arthritis. Actually, I did dance for a short time at my
granddaughter’s wedding., but that doesn’t count. It doesn’t matter now. The
soft words quieted my sobs at the time. Now, later in life, I no longer have
the same needs, my emotions are more calm and less expectant.
During
visits with Jesus, he explained many things about the angels. One time, he made
it a point to talk to me about angels because he knew I was thinking of writing
a book on the subject. Unfortunately, the book has shrunk to a small essay.
Still, I hope to add information to the essay, now and again, whenever I learn
more.
Here are
excerpts from my web writing, slightly edited, on the days when Jesus spoke about
angels.

My first visit with Jesus in front of my pond was short, but I learned what I needed to know. Jesus told me before that he would take me to where the angels stay on earth and this is where we went. I asked Jesus for the information because the book I am writing has angels hovering over earth and helping humans. So Jesus suggested that he take me to visit one of their living quarters.
I had been to one before, about nine years ago, the one that sits, invisibly all the time almost in back of my home. I think their habitat stays there long term while the angels come and go and watch the events unfold in this area.
This day, Jesus didn’t take me inside the one near my home. Instead, to my surprise, he took me up into space to hover above the earth. There, he must have changed my eye sight because all of a sudden I could see a number of flattened, round, living centers floating above our earth. I saw twenty or more of these containment abodes. We went to one of them and entered. My first impression was silver, my eyes filled with soft light, shinning and shimmering everywhere in all directions. Then right in front of us, an angel stood almost blending into the background because the angel was wearing a shimmering silver gown. The gown didn’t seem to want to sit still no matter how long I looked at it, so I couldn’t tell if it was shaped like a gown or pants suit or something else. The clothing was far less important than the angel’s smile, which overrode everything else, even her beautiful, white, long hair. Later, during this same visit, her hair seemed to disappear, I don’t know why but imagine that it was part of an illusion set up for my sake, or it could have been a different angel.
Jesus and I followed her through a corridor and openings that were invisible to me. She took us to her ‘work station’ which did not resemble anything I was familiar with except that it seemed flat and had lights. Was this an illusion too? The reality of this angel world is too far beyond the usual for me to understand; I could hardly keep it in focus while we walked or floated behind the angel.
The angel said as much when she spoke, “You use more ‘down to earth’ descriptions of our work station in your book. I think you must so people can understand the story. We hardly use a 'work station,' as you call it. We use our minds to do most of our work, but then, we don’t call it work either, although it can be difficult and hard.”
She added, "Turning a human soul towards God is always hard work. Humans can be very stubborn."
"Oh, I know that." I nodded. "We are a contrary race. Can I see more of your living center?"
Suddenly, a path opened in front of us, and did often as we walked, as if doors could sense when we wanted to enter another area. There was hardly anything to see. A few more angels stopped to smile at us and walked on. Everything looked the same until we got to the center of the habitat. There was a vast open space full of sky where angels were doing all kinds of flips and turns as if there was no gravity. There wasn't. A few angels were swimming across the huge central hole in the doughnut of the living center as if it was filled with water. It almost looked like water, but not quite.
Jesus explained. "It isn’t real water, just the illusion of a lake." He added, “The angels are considerably evolved compared to today’s humans. They lived through a long period of technological invention, and also severe horror, but we'll leave that for another day. What makes them most exceptional is that they learned how to use the mind to good advantage, mind became their most prevalent study. All humans have the same seed of knowledge within."
I thought about the Buddhist monks who study the mind more deeply then anyone on earth and expected that some must have matured to become angels. But is that possible, I wondered?
"Then these aren’t real angels?" I was thinking of the world Jesus took me to once that was filled with white, ghostlike angels, it seemed, hundreds of angels thick.
Jesus said, “These are real angels, but no one here is from human genes alone. They now share a mixture with other beings. Their evolution or actual time frame is so far from your own, they seem like aliens to you. Perhaps indescribable even for your imagination. He smiled.
Well, for my book, I will need to make them more earthlike. Then I thought of something I wanted to know.
"Can these angels come down to earth? I mean to live there?"
I already knew that they could send their minds down to earth, but I wanted to know if they could be physically present.
"Yes, they can sometimes take on human form."
"Ah, that is interesting. At least, my book is right in that respect."
"Yes." Jesus said. "In more respects than you know.” He smiled but didn’t elaborate.
He has said this to me before, but I am still ignorant as to what he means.
By now, I was getting tired and began wavering back into my lawn chair. I bid Jesus good-by so I could write all this down before I forgot what I saw, which isn’t much, but enough for a beginning.

I couldn’t concentrate well, but Jesus told me that was ok because I already knew most of what he was going to tell me because he’d told me before about the angels when we first began visiting. It is hard to accept new information that seems to go against the usual grain of knowledge, and so deep down, I probably didn’t accept the truth of what Jesus was telling me. Now I am in a better position to do so.
One trait that is definite: No angel would ever take over a human soul even though they might take on a human, physical shape here on earth. Jesus made this point clear to me. He added that it is difficult for an angel to take human form because they need to arrange that they remain accountable to history and the future. These angels deliberately have few ties with other people and certainly no permanent ties unless they are prepared to stay until death.
I asked if some angels do stay.
` Jesus said yes, some angels choose to live the rest of their lives here. It is not common, but possible. They aren’t using up anything but air.
I wondered how an angel, who I assume is ghostlike in their natural state, but maybe I am wrong, could suddenly take on physical form filled with atoms and molecules and features of humanity.
Jesus said right away, “You are wrong. Angels are not ghostlike; they are physical beings with superior mental abilities who can send themselves as spirits to various parts of the universe, an ability that all humans may develop one day.”
I smiled at this because I also know that many of those we call angels were once human, but so greatly evolved, we can hardly recognize ourselves as their ancestors. We are truly primitive in their eyes, and it is a wonder that they can still love us.
I imagine that it is as if we could go back into prehistory and meet our cave ancestors who are learning to grow wheat or tame dogs. Surly we would try to further their knowledge and their knowledge of God. And if we read the bible just right, we will find that angels, at the behest of God, did teach humans husbandry and how to grow crops.
Jesus has said many times that we live in a directed evolution. I take this to mean that we are traveling a path that God would have us walk, and unless we jump off the cliff, we will eventually arrive at the destination God intended. What a beautiful thought.

This evening as I sat in front of the pond, Jesus took me to visit the same angel abode as the last time. I didn’t see anything new, but we talked about the angels. I asked if angels needed to be here physically above earth. Can’t they send their mind to us even from their own planet?
Jesus answered, “The angels who come here as a group are more committed to saving earth. Their proximity gives them a better insight.”
Can they see down on earth with their instruments?
"They don’t need to use instruments, they use their minds. With their mind they can watch any event happening on earth."
"It is interesting that they don’t need instruments."
"They used instruments long ago." Jesus said.
"Like we are using instruments now?"
"A more sophisticated kind of technology. You will eventually learn it if you survive."
"You have referred to our maybe/maybe not survival before. Right now, I don’t want to go there. Is that ok?"
"We will talk about it again one day. For now, know that the angels are trying to save souls. It is more important now than ever before."
I got the impression from Jesus that the frequent disasters we are experiencing are less damaging than the state of our souls. That, even if we think we are surviving well, our real situation is calamitous.
I sometimes wonder if this bad economy might turn out to be good for a few souls. Poverty certainly taught me to be careful, conscientious and to call on heaven for help. Maybe this turn-down will teach a few other people to do the same.
I had a sudden question but didn’t ask Jesus or the angel standing next to us. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to know the answer. The question had to do with time and an angel’s ability to know the before and after of a human event. I think I can answer that one myself. Of course they can see further than the present.
I looked at Jesus and he smiled. He didn’t need to answer, I had answered for him. Yet, I think it must be harder than just viewing a current event.
Jesus said, "It is a matter of knowing what went before and seeing the paths of what could or should come next. Remember, the angels have stepped out of their own time to come to earth and be a part of your earth time."
Ah, this was good news because I intend use some of this information in my fiction book, but the angels in my book will use computers to gather in knowledge. I think it will fit the reader better. I need to get going and finish the darn thing.

This evening Jesus asked me if I wanted to receive more information about the angels. I agreed, and then suddenly I realized the truth once again, as if I could ever forget. The angels are our decedents, our children's children's, children. So when Jesus tells me their story, he is actually telling the story of humankind’s future.
Here Jesus broke in to my thoughts and said, “It won’t be the exact same future. With effort, the future can be changed slightly. We have put forth much effort.”
He stressed the word effort. So we can’t assume everything Jesus tells us will happen. In fact, he told me that, rather than tell it in chronological order; he intends to skip around in time. He didn’t tell me why.
When I said, “I can’t think there is enough information for a whole book.”
He answered, “You’ll be surprised.”
Well, I like surprises, as he knows, and await this next one.
I was curious so asked, “You already told me much that has or will happen. Is it true what I understand from revelation that you come and save a remnant of humanity, then take us to a new planet?”
That is the story I will be telling you. A story that is amazing in many parts, horrible in others, and beautiful too. It is the story you painted.
“Then I already know the general story, but not the particulars.”
“That is true.”
I am not sure I want to begin today. Can we wait until another time?”
“Of course. I have all the time in the world” He laughed, but then sobered and added, "Although many people on earth don’t. It is for them that I reveal this story. It is for them to sit up and take notice, to put themselves right, to walk in the other direction. Often, a person can be doomed, not by what they have done, but by what they have failed to do, such as give honor to God.
I want to write all this stuff down now. Is that ok?
Jesus smiled down at me as he often does. He understands it all, but accepts my limitations, so we will wait for another day to begin. I can only say again, thank you Jesus, thank you God, thank all of you in Heaven.
I didn’t
put all the information about angels in the essay because I forgot more than I can
remember. Also, for some reason, I couldn’t stay on
task. These notes about Jesus’ talk on angels were from two years ago. Lucky
for me that Jesus seems to have all the time in the world and never pushes to
get something done.
The idea of
writing abut angels was supposed to be my next book, but I began to notice that
there was abundant information about angels in hundreds of books, so why add
more? Yet, much of the information about angels is new and doesn’t relate to
today’s world, so far as I knew. So,
with the idea that I might add new, needed information, I decided to put it in
essay form, shorter and easier. Still, I intend to continue this writing on the
subject of angels when ever I get new information.
Now,
I notice that I left out information about the dark angels. I think this was
deliberate because I didn’t want to sink into gloom. They are out there just as
the good angels who follow Jesus are out there, so I may add information about
them to this essay at another time.
