12/4/11

Jesus spoke to me while I was up at the altar during mass. I went up there with others who had a birthday this week to hold hands and sing the prayer, The Our Father. Jesus came and stood with us, holding our hands like he does when we gather on top the mountain.

Jesus knew my thoughts, and said to me, “You can write about this.”

I smiled as I watched Jesus, a tall man-spirit, join hands with all of us. I thought about the many times and places where Jesus had joined with us when we gathered mind to mind. This was slightly different, but not by much because the whole earth is God’s mountain, and a church is like a man-made mountain reaching towards heaven. For some reason, probably because it is a holy place, I find it easier to communicate with Jesus during mass.  He slips right into my mind with ease and often makes comments.

12/5/11

When Jesus held hands with us Sunday at the altar, he didn’t stand just between two people. He joined to each of us like a blur holding each of our hands simultaneously. First here, then there, then everywhere. How can this be?

There is a good example in science that might help explain it. When a scientist sends a light particle through a slit, it broadens into an array of wave spectrum on a screen. The one particle of light has split into many. This must be something like what Jesus does. While on earth with us he was a single person but after his death he was able to move around as multiple as he chose. To me, this seems like a good analogy of how to picture how Jesus can visit with many people at the same time.

I was reminded of the light spectrum the other week as I watched Nova on PBS, the series “The Elegant Universe and the Fabric of the Cosmos. The artwork and illustrations for the program was excellent as was the information which was presented in skits of different areas of interest. The program was well worth watching. The program got me to thinking about what Jesus said about a different type of scientists in the future, I wondered what he meant. He implied that the scientists of that far off day would travel with him. This must mean that they have grown beyond “just the facts"  and began looking into the fuzzy aspects of matter, those things that can’t be pinned down to a petri dish, or studied with an experiment, things like the beauty of a rose, or our joy its scent gives us. The scientists of tomorrow will study and learn about the mind instead of only the brain. It is the mind of man that grows toward God. This mind of ours is a great and wondrous gift. Within this mind God gave us, I believe, lays the secret of all that is.

If this isn’t amazing, I don’t know what else is.

12/7/11

This morning Jesus took me into a splendid area of the universe filled with so many stars and colors that it sparkled like the photo in Scientific American this month. The colors faded as we moved inside. Jesus pointed out the few worlds that had intelligent life among the thousands that surrounded us. He said life is rare and precious, yet, there are so many chances for it to blossom that it becomes numerous. My own idea was that maybe ten percent of the worlds we saw turning around their suns had life. Considering the billions upon billions of stars, that means a lot of intelligence in the universe.

The group of us that had gathered earlier now followed Jesus to one of these worlds. The first thing I saw as we stepped on to the world were huge white flowers. They filled the whole area and were even mixed in with taller trees. We went close and the flowers were larger than my hand, about 12 inches across and resembling Easter Lilies. Strangely, I didn’t see any other type of flowers in this area.

Jesus explained to us that the flowers were a staple that the people used for a variety of needs. We went to another area to see the people. But I looked right past them as they went about their business because a large home took all my attention. It was something like a square grass hut but those huge white flowers lined the roof and other openings like Hansel and Gretel house. When I looked closer, I saw that they were actually growing upon the house with bare roots digging into the ground. A subtle fresh smell filled the whole area where the people were working in front of the hut.

People walked too and fro, some with children by their side. One person was using a wooden slide that he was crushing flowers on. The juice fell into a tub at the bottom. Jesus told us that he was making an intoxicating drink. I thought about modern industry and Jesus informed that these people may never have an industrial age, which I thought odd, as if the people would never evolve. Jesus smiled but didn’t comment.

I looked hard at one person who was pointing and instructing a few small children. The person looked very much like a human male, but something seemed odd, either manner or shape, I couldn’t detect. (I don’t remember the cloths, so they must have been normal for a setting in a copse of woods).

Jesus told me that the man was teaching the young about the world around them, showing them the different things that grow in their area. Finally, as we walked further into the sparse wooded area, I saw other colored flowers, yellow and blue and red, with different kind of petals. Jesus explained to us that the huge white flowers, like the ones that lined the house, would turn purple in a different season. He added that the weather was mild and wet on most of this world because it had few mountains to hold back the weather.

The people looked peaceful, maybe too peaceful, but Jesus didn’t say one way or another. At one point, I asked if this was a paradise world, although I didn’t feel God all around us. Jesus agreed that it wasn’t. To me it looked like the people lived in harmony with their land. We left after this and I still remember that wonderful house, but now I think it might have been a place of worship for the small group.

12/7/11

As I sat watching a program on The Universe regarding astrobiology, I suddenly realized how lucky I am. The whole world wonders if there is life out there, and I have visited that life with the help of Jesus, and in some cases even talked with them. Of course, no one believes me, but that’s ok, when we first began these visits, I didn’t  believe it myself. Now I do, even so, at times I can’t keep focused enough to remember all the details. It all happens so fast because the mind is fast.

Jesus said something to me as I wrote the above paragraph that I pushed away because it is too unbelievable. Then I went to bed and couldn’t get it out of my mind. I wonder, maybe in a thousand years, it won’t be so unbelievable. What he told me was that we could mate with the strange people I saw today, and many of the human-like people on other planets. As I lay in bed, I remembered that he told me a number of times that some angels are a combination of human and other. This goes beyond any biology we can understand today. Our system says that we finally evolved after fine tuning a million chance occurrences, that the genes of life changed with every change in the environment, that we are the end product of stress and chance. So, how could we mate with people who had a different evolution?

I don’t know. But what if God is truly that great mathematician in the sky, the one who made fractals, the one who maybe planned every world and type of life out there, the one who made life follow numbers that determine what it will become , and the one who created The Source, (or the Big Bang)? Jesus has said that evolution is directed, I always assumed that meant he and the angels did the directing. But I never imagined that it would be directed at every chance corner, every gene change, or planned from the beginning.

Well, I don’t know what to think now. I imagine that God decided all there was to be, decided that life on temperate planets would take the same course, that life would take hold where ever it could grab on, and that life would strive for intelligence. Such an idea seems almost beyond common sense, seemingly impossible. But then, we earthlings are still in the cradle when it comes to maturity. I am not sure we can say with surety that anything is impossible. In fact, Jesus has said the opposite many times. He said, if we can imagine it, it already exists somewhere in the universe. A truly amazing statement, and one that is only now beginning to sink in.

12/9/11

It is my birthday and Jesus has told me we will have a good visit today with people on another planet. I am looking forward to it. So here goes.

Well, now I know that a good world with peaceful people is possible. We didn’t go to a paradise world, a world completely in tune with God, but what Jesus called “A good one.” Jesus wanted to show me a world where people developed differently then we did on earth.

Just before we stepped out of the sky-tunnel, I asked Jesus what colors will I see. He smiled and told me green and blue. From that hint, I know it would be an earth like world. And it was. We stepped onto a field of tall green grass with a group of trees in the far distance, which is where we went next.

In the middle of the trees was a group of small homes that we saw with a bird’s eye view, with one slightly larger, where we went down and entered. My first impression was that it was a pub because I saw a lot of brown, wooden booths and stools and many people. It wasn’t a pub, but a simple gathering place.

The large room was slightly crowded but we walked over to a booth where an older man was sitting. He motioned and asked us to join him. I was surprised he could see us. The other people about seemed to detect us too. Right away, he explained that most others can detect us visiting, but not actually see us. He was more experienced and capable in that area then younger people.

Everything seemed earth normal: This  man’s face was dark as if weathered and he had white hair with long side burns. The people at the other end of the room looked normal too, they were whispering and laughing while other people were sitting and talking, and others were walking around, here and there. With everything wooden, I wondered if they had industry and asked. The man told us to follow him. Instead of getting up, he sat back, closed his eyes, and became a spirit figure like we were. He led us out past the group of houses that seemed to circle the main building. A lady, mature with long white hair, joined us when we stopped.

They showed us what looked like a number of silos and smaller buildings, with machines bringing in straw to an upper window, but I didn’t hear any sound from the machine. We went to a field and the same quiet type machine was bringing in produce. All we heard were birds and we visitors commented on the peacefulness of everything we saw.

Jesus explained that this planet was considerably tame compared to earth. That these people took a different turn during development. Their only adversary was weather and accidents. Long ago, they learned the importance of controlling the mind and used this as their main life long goal. The result was a peaceful world.

“You never have war?” I asked the older man.

He shook his head. “We have disputes, but I am not sure what you mean by war.

When we speak mind to mind, our thoughts leak out in pictures, so he knew the confusion and horror that my mind imaged as war, but seemed to feel perplexed by the image. I decided to drop the subject. I was his opposite and can hardly imagine an earth-normal world without war.

Do you have ships? I asked him.

For an answer, he led us over fields and many small villages to the edge of the sea. I saw huge sailing ships. By this time, I was of the opinion that their culture had got stuck in an early industry phase, until we stepped onto one of the huge ships as it was leaving the harbor. It was silent like a sailing ship might be, but the sails weren’t needed. A quiet motor moved the ship through the water because the sails were still.

“We like the looks of sails on the ships. They are not really necessary.”

The ships were made out of wood. I wondered if they used metal. The man and lady took us to a larger  village, more like a small city, with tall spires and a lot of buildings, but made also out of wood. In the center of a plaza stood a shinny metal sculpture.

They explained that they did mine metals but used trees for most of their needs because they could be easily replanted and the supply kept plentiful.

So far the weather seemed mild. I asked, “Do you have seasons.”

            “Come, I will show you.”

We quickly went to another part of the huge continent, so big it seemed to wrap around the planet. Here we saw white mountains and snow covered fields with people walking on streets in a village.

The lady took us to see children who were running and playing in the snow, about ten of them. As we stood near them, they stopped and nodded to us, and then continued their frolicking. The lady had told them that we were here visiting. During this time, I think all of us remained invisible.

In all, I didn’t see many people. The lady told us that they keep their numbers down. “It would be disastrous to allow more people than we could feed.” She said to me. I didn’t tell her about earth’s vast billions, and perhaps didn’t need to.

With everything I saw mild and peaceful, I suspect they are mild and peaceful when they limit the babies to be born too. Probably, it is a great privilege to have a child in this civilization. I am also sure that every child is loved deeply.

I sighed and looked with sadness at the others of our group who came with Jesus from earth. Our world has such turmoil, I wondered what these people had that we lacked.

Jesus told us that their brains were the same as ours. From early on these people began using and enhancing their mental skills as a means of overcoming problems.

“Earth has an adversary that prevents progress in that area.”

This is easy to  believe. Earth has went through so many wars and so much struggle, we can hardly imagine any world not doing so.

There was much that we saw this morning and I don’t know what I forgot to write. One thing, they told us that they have a sister world where they trade goods. I wondered if they had space ships. They must in order to trade materials. Travel with the mind limits taking anything with you. My full impression was that these people use industry but only as much as they need. They don’t seem to crave newness or gadgets like we do. I wonder if our craving serves as a supplement for peace. A peace that these people seem to have.

In all I had a nice surprise visit. I guess Jesus decided I was ready to see a world like us, but peaceful. We had been to other worlds ripe with evil like our own, worlds very much like us in waywardness; I have also been to planets so filled with the bliss of God’s presence, it was amazing. Jesus didn’t speak about these people and how they worship during the visit. It is hard to take in a whole civilization in at one visit. I am sure I missed a great deal and forgot some things I saw. But I am left with hope. Even with the great contrast, there is hope that given more time, maybe we will learn to live in peace too. But what if we are the anomaly and they are the norm? They learn and grow quicker than we do because they have less to struggle against. In all, it was a nice birthday present from Jesus. This visit has given me much food for thought.

So Jesus believes we have a source of evil on earth that is not on all other planets. Through the years, I have deciphered out what I could about evil and believe there are actual beings or devils who drive us towards evil, though most modern people refuse to believe in a such things.

I just ordered a series of 36 lectures from The Great Courses on “Why Evil Exists” It explains the different theories throughout history with philosophy and theology. It should broaden my understanding of evil, but I doubt if it will change my mind as to the main cause of the deepest evils. I don’t expect to write ideas about evil here on my web pages because, as stated in the first lecture, people avoid the subject because they don’t like it. I think much of our evil is caused by our not “knowing” each other like we should, mind to mind. Maybe that was what the original sin did, erase the gene that gave us knowing and made us ignorant of one another. Still, most earthly evil can be laid down at the feet of ignorance, that is, until you get to someone like Hitler, and a few others from history. Insanity might explain such a mind, but not the power. Satan is the only explanation for such people. As Professor Mathews reported on the first disk, while Spears was in jail, he was asked why he followed Hitler. He said, “It is hard to know

the devil when his hand is on your shoulder.”

12/11/11

Jesus told me to write what happened in church this morning, but I am very embarrassed to do so. Just call me an embarrassed Doubting Thomas. It went like this;  My son and his wife agreed to come to church with me as a birthday present. They had a long drive and five young great grand children to get ready, so I expected them to be a little late and saved a seat for them, but it remained empty. I felt anxious and wondered if they would show up at all.

Just at Father Thomas' homely, Jesus came next to me and sat down.

He said, “Your family has arrived.”

Then he left and I felt really happy; I’d been waiting for them. Yet, after the homily, they didn’t come to the front to sit. So I began to worry. Maybe it wasn’t Jesus who spoke to me, maybe it was a trick, a taunt from the devil (though I’d never see the devil, just heard him). So after the offering of the gifts, I decided to go to the back and call them on the phone. Maybe they had an accident or something. As I headed towards the back of the church, I saw them sitting in back, waved, and very humbled, went back to my seat.

I told Jesus I was sorry for doubting him. “You know how often the devil has taunted me” I said as an excuse. I felt bad, but it was true what I'd said about the devil. I am sure Jesus knows this too.  The reason he wanted me to write this wasn't to advertise my embarrassment, but to remind people that Jesus, as spirit, sits with us in church all the time. I am fortunate to be able to see Jesus sometimes. The devil has never sat next to me, only tried to imitate Jesus voice, so how could I not believe Jesus' words? Well, I never did claim to be saint material.

12/15/11

I hardly never read the business section of the newspaper, but today I caught Tom Welsh's article "The Headlines tell it all." I am losing faith in our country. If even the Detroit Counsel refuse to cut their expenses down by 30%  in a poverty stricken and shrinking city, what hope have we?  It serves as a mirror of the many other leaders we have today. Do we need a city counsel? Do other cities have one? None of the people want our policemen and firemen’s jobs to be cut. So…I say start cutting at the top!

This idea comes from Jesus and is vital for the nation. If the Republicans run on their same platform of "The rich getting richer" (or the Democrats go this way too) our generous nation as we've known it will be gone in a few years and hearts will grow colder. Most of the population is already struggling and add to that the fact that we will continue to have extreme weather disasters. Human tragedies will keep piling up without the aid of a safety net. Are the suffering people to be swept under the table like scraps? Take a look at how we have changed in the last few decades. Do we want it that way?

Jesus asked me to give this warning, but I feel it is pointless because nobody is listening. Certainly no one with the power to change what is happening. Most of us don't have enough power to fix the system, and those who do, are the leaders who want to hoard and keep everything for themselves. Why did we ever create a system where leaders decide their own wage?

I give you one guess as to what name to put behind the idea that the rich have a right to keep it all. Sad. Most especially because they made their fortune in this great country of ours.

I call this photo “Blue Marble Earth” I think it is breathtaking. A NASA image.

12/19/11

This morning we met together on a high mountain as we often do. I like to imagine I feel the sharp wind against my face and robe and see the whole round earth around me as I gaze through the clouds. When the others joined me, I asked them if they minded that we form a circle. They told me no, they didn’t mind at all. A circle has been a symbol of unity since pre-history. It is a natural stance for gathering humans. I was pleased because sometimes I wonder if mostly children like to form circles, but then I think how we all join hands to say the Our Father in church, and though we don’t stand in a circle, a circle is implied, at least in topology. Regardless, it feels right and natural.

While in the circle, Jesus joined us and we invited a number of children and other people to join us as well. (Clock time is unimportant, anyone can join at any time of day or night). We called to God to recharge us with his great love and power.

Suddenly, God formed a huge bubble of light that burst over the top of all of us in the circle, light that sank into our bodies even into our bones. For that moment, my bones seemed to heal into a younger self. We all were filled with bright light from heaven and the children smiled and looked at each other brightened by God. I think God did the bubble effect for the benefit of the children. I promised to take them traveling on another day, and told them the light of God would go with them when they left and shine wherever they went.

One of my friends suggested that we walk the earth this day like we did before. Readily agreeing, we gathered at the edge of the Atlantic coast of America and walked westward. If we could have been seen, we would have looked like Simi invisible giants, all aglow, forming a bright, wavy line up and down the length of America. Each of us stopped to hug or bless(those suited to do so) or shine extra God energy on various people whose soul needed replenishing. As we walked across the land, we called out to other  people who happened to be at prayer to walk with us. More and more people and prayers collected together during our walk. At times we instinctively grouped around hot spots where much light was needed, at other times we spread out all across the land.

When we came to the pacific a whale joined us, (perhaps the same whale all the time).  A dolphin joined us right after the whale. We stepped onto Japan and hugged people still damaged by the  tsunami last March and we continued on into China hugging as we went. China is really large as is Russia and the various states in the area. In the Middle East we stayed longer and gathered into groups to pour out much prayer as we could on the people who are protesting and therefore in great danger.

Then we walked on to the western states of Europe spreading as much light as we could until we came back across the Atlantic to the edge of the US. We nodded to each other as we went our separate ways, thousands of us by now, thousands of souls, some from the future and some who’d stayed with us, all of us dropping prayers and God light energy onto the people of earth. I parted with a feeling of great satisfaction and accomplishment. A feeling of hope and love of God spread around the world. Jesus nodded to all of us all as we parted.

12/23/11

I watched a movie last night, “No Greater Love. It was a religious movie. It wasn’t as soppy as some types of religious movies, pushy and singular of purpose. What got me to thinking was that in this movie, and many others of its kind, people walk around with smiles on their faces all the time, talk sweetly, never shout, or get angry and I wondered if this was the actual behavior in certain religious groups.

Now I consider myself very religious, but I still have a range of feelings and don’t always smile. Also, I refuse to be led by or allow myself to be put in a position of following certain ideas I might find objective. So I wonder if these people, though good, might have this flaw, a flaw that would only show up if they are told something and then must follow it “because it says so in the bible.” So, although attractive and seeming to belong to a group that we all strive for, a group of loving people, I wonder if they aren’t in danger of following wrong ideas.

I compared their attitude to those people I saw who lived on paradise worlds that Jesus took me to. While there, I felt God in every aspect of the world, not unlike a perfect view of nature on our own world, but contrary to our own, the people’s minds were filled with God. I knew this somehow and could detect it even before Jesus told me. Yet, and here is my problem, I don’t remember anything being soppy or smiley. Maybe I will ask Jesus to take me to another paradise world soon so I can check this notion out for certain, but I am pretty sure this is correct. I think I would have been turned off to witness such direct evidence of religion and finally, I think I know why. People on paradise worlds don't worship God in any way we could detect; they don’t even talk about God.

So what exactly did I feel on these paradise worlds that caused me to know they were filled with God. What made them different than merely “Good” worlds and how could I detect this difference? Actually, it was Jesus who needed to tell me a world was merely good as opposed to a paradise world. So maybe I can’t tell the difference. Yet, I feel God on good worlds and, at times, filling areas of our world, but not to the same degree, as if God’s mind percolates through and absorbs every pore and living cell on some worlds, but is thwarted and shoved away on others. My feeling of Godliness on those worlds might have depended on Jesus comments but also on the great maturity of the people. Some of these mature people could send their minds to help others in the universe at the same time they lived a normal life. This is a feat of mindedness on a scale that we can’t understand. I think it might mean living multiple existences on many worlds. (I wonder if some of our great saints might have felt the same, able to be one with God while, at the same time, moving about in their daily lives).

So what makes myself and most others different? I love God, I know him as Jesus I often thank and worship him, but certainly not every minute of my day. I need to meditate to get the complete feeling of being with God. It is true, I don’t need to meditate to travel with Jesus or converse with him, but I am usually sitting and relaxing, although, at times Jesus will suddenly pop into my mind with an odd comment, which always gives me food for thought or drives me to think beyond established ideas.

Well, all this writing is myself trying to understand religions groups of happy people who I find unfathomable. Perhaps I don’t have a right to question them. But in looking at them, I  begin to question myself, and this is usually a good thing to do. So do I envy their group of love filled holiness? No, I don’t think so. I haven't the right to criticize them, but I won’t join them either. Why not? Because I must always allow myself to be on the edge of new ideas. My God is never static or set in his ways. My God is the all of everything and we humans are forever learning and stepping up to meet new found elements that God set for us on his table.

12/30/11

Jesus has told me that my job was to introduce children to traveling with their mind. The trips need only lasts a few minutes, in fact, the children probably loose focus easily. I expect that, like me, they can come and go during our travels. I think now that Jesus showed me all those different worlds for a number of reasons, one of them being the message they can have for us, but another was to set me up as a teacher who could show the next generation how to travel.

This day we had the usual group of youngsters standing next to their sponsor, two children from an American Indian tribe, two older children studying to become Buddhists. (It is they who will teach in later years) I called a few children I saw in my mind and also a few others I was familiar with, although I don't think they see me on these trips. Others adults of our group did the same. It takes longer to write the action then it did to produce it, which took only a few seconds. As far as the trip, it was few minutes here then there then back. I asked the two Buddhist students how the other children fared and they told me that the children do stay for a minute or two, but often fade away.

Jesus was prominent this day when I asked each child to imagine a world they'd like to go to. One child wanted to go to a world where we could fly. This was a hard one that only Jesus could accomplish, but of course, he did. We stepped off the edge to a gas planet filled with misty air and clouds and as we adults stood on a rocky ledge, the children took off into the air as if they were birds. They soon learned that it wasn’t ideal because they didn’t have the equipment, such as wings, that would help them maneuver. We laughed at their plight. A good lesson learned. Another child, a young girl, chose a flower world. That one was easy. The world had flowers rising up and down on large hills with rivers meandering between them. Next was a world filled with music. This place consisted of a huge valley of wind chimes, soft tinkles and whisper songs created by the wind as it gently blew through the strange rock and sand formations.

Jesus explained that many people on who lived on this planet visited the area often to hear the music.

When the children ran out of ideas I suggested the huge forest monster on some planet Jesus had shown me before. I knew that all the kids would love it. So we stood in the forest and I told the kids to check out the ground. It had grass, layers of leaves and young trees growing all around us like tall sticks. Then suddenly the whole earth began to move. Grab onto a tree, I told them as the earth shook more and more.

When the shaking stopped I showed them a giant lump far in front of us, the animal's head.  This part of  the forest was really a huge animal that picked itself up or slid a few feet to the next area of ground to gather nourishment. We hopped down to view the front of the animal, but could only see the head nestling back into the ground like a turtle.

At this point, we’d been too many places and it was time to pop back home. I suggested that some children think of a place to go next time and reminded them to always thank God for the adventure. In all, I had fun this morning watching others enjoy selections from God’s infinite universe.
