Ice mountain at Belle Isle one year

2/1/14

This day, a few of my friends came to join Jesus and I as we stood talking by the small well. They took pleasure in the green leaves and dark aromatic earth and the trickle of water over the rock. A perfect wooded cove of trees and fauna where the sun beams put a glow on life. I told Jesus how much I loved him and this place where we stood. His smile beamed back love like a reflection of sun light. Then all of us walked out together to a very high green hill surrounded by mountains, their tips covered in snow. We put our faces up to the warm sun and delighted in God’s kingdom on earth.

Then we gathered into a circle and held hands, one spiritual being next to another, and called more people to join in our prayer. Everyone is invited to this table of God’s love.

I now realize that this is what God sends down to us as energy, a love that feels palpable and seeable with the mind’s eye. We basked within it and then turned and sent it onward as waves around the whole of earth until finally the waves came back interfering with each other making odd ripples in the air. We sent prayers around the world first because Jesus had mentioned earlier that he wanted to travel with us this morning.

We began our travel at the bottom of the sky tunnel and walked through the green fauna, amid butterflies and a few birds, and each of us rubbed the sides of the tunnel with the palm of our hand. This communicates our good feelings to the tree essence of the tunnel and also orientates us in place, which I personally find necessary.

We walked to the end and stood behind Jesus, then stepped off with him. I found myself standing amid tall reeds and as I walked they became even taller. The water between the reeds didn’t bother me because I wasn’t physical but I felt the warmth of the sun on my head, probably because I choose to do so. We kept walking and finally came to what Jesus wanted to show us. A group of browned skinned people, of normal shape but very small compared to our own size. I was glad they couldn’t see us giants standing there amid the reeds of their home.

The people had designed woven reed roofs and bridges twisting and running throughout the reeds. We watched as one person floated on a reed raft beneath a roof. I thought how the sunlight didn’t penetrate well, but Jesus explained that certain other gathering areas were sunny. He said the people needed to watch out for carnivorous birds that might pick them up. In fact we learned that their whole culture was based on avoiding the birds or using them. When a person became ready to die or had died, they would be put atop the reeds so a bird could take them. If a person did something horribly bad, which was rare in this culture, the person would be tied to the top of the reeds as bird food. I shuddered at this but then realized it was mild compared to what we have and still do to criminals here on earth.

Next, Jesus showed us how the people would travel on boats through specific paths on a voyage once or twice a year to large gatherings.

“What do they eat,” I asked.

Jesus showed us food stuff growing where the reeds met the water and some plants rising from the water. He also explained that they had a comfortable life and the carnivorous birds were few, but not knowing this, the people had built up their culture to avoid getting taken. This explained the many woven mats hanging as roofs between the reeds.

I asked the others if they had seen enough because I was getting tired. My ability to focus is limited. I think it is hard on the mind to view a new people or place. We nodded our good-bys and thanked Jesus for showing us these new people living on an earth like planet.

It may take a long while before I figure out what it was Jesus wanted to teach us about these new people. He usually has a message in mind for us when we travel to a new place, if I could but sift it out.  Jesus prefers that we search for meaning and find it for our self. That way, when we do find it, it sinks in deep and solid.

We have all heard the phrase “run-away inflation” but the phrase we should hear is—“run-away capitalism.” The reason is obvious, we aren’t meant to think bad about capitalism, after all, it helped America grow. Yet, even back in the 70’s some clear thinkers were giving warning about its dangers especially warnings about international corporations. It was suggested that they would take over and dictate to governments.  Well, maybe corporations haven’t started ruling the world yet, but the basic greed implied in the drive profit has taken over.

We humans need limits and rules, but what is the limit on capitalism? I remember once when monopolies were prohibited, now they are common place. So where is the ceiling for profit? The capitalism that once grew America no longer serves this vast population, instead it has begun to bury it. A lack of ceiling limit is bad, worse, there is no floor. Every one needs to view the new-found tape of the Nazis that shows a person, one of many, dying in the street in front of a bread bakery while a lady in high heels steps over the gasping body. But it can’t happen here? I pray not. Most people are not at fault here in America either for the over burdening capitalism. The fault lies in the system that props up greed and the drive towards affluence. The system isn’t working folks and something needs to be done.

This is a photo of my flowers last year. Surly Spring is just around the corner.

Such beauty is enough paradise for me.

I learned so much this morning during meditation I don’t know if I can remember all of it to write it down. I met with Jesus at the well in the forest and many of my friends joined me there as we took note of the luscious greens and earthy scents and beauty of the rock and of all the earth. Then we walked up upon a mountain to the very top to give honor to God and fill ourselves with his love. For a moment I wondered why these others, who are very mature in mental abilities are willing to join me in my small mystical endeavors until I remembered their love and concern for life—Until every blade of grass reaches nirvana. Whatever is good is worth encouraging and our prayers upon a mountain that encourages everyone to join is good.

We stood upon the mountain holding spiritual hands and gave reverence to God and soon we were swollen with such love that we had to share it with other people and life of all kinds. So we did. My friend suggested that we walk around the circumference of the earth to spread God’s life energy. We agreed and positioned ourselves in a line from north to south across China as spiritual giants taller than the highest buildings as we began to walk. Yet, each of us could become small at any place along the trail every time we reached down to give an extra boost of love to a single person.

As we walked around the world, more and more people joined us with their own feelings of love and prayer. I reached down to hug a young Chinese girl, smoking and very full of herself and surrounded her with God’s invisible light, I smiled because I saw my own young self mirrored in her. I stopped to hug a girl in Russia and a mother in Central America. After this, I stepped onto my own country to spread love throughout the land because there is much dispute and need here.

As I walked I saw God’s light and how it works to unite us. I saw the holy light as connecting us humans together into people who love and agree with each other rather than a people who dispute one another. This thought reminded me of the paradise worlds Jesus had taken me to and the people living on planets so filled with God-love they seemed almost perfect.

My mind drifted to my own recent problem. I need to buy a fence because my dog jumped mine yesterday. There is always some problem, but with Jesus smile I also realized that it is these same small ups and downs of life that propels us forward. To never have problems to solve is to not be alive.

I asked Jesus, “But what about those people on paradise worlds? Do they also have ups and downs?”

Jesus answered. “They have challenges you can’t imagine. You are right that challenges are a part of life.”

This made a lot of sense to me, except when those up and down challenges become excessive and turn into life threatening disasters. It is always better if they stay on a more even keel. Jesus smiled at my thoughts.

Then I thought of history and how certain tragedies moved populations in new triumphs and directions. This is when I gave up because the idea is deeper than I can fathom so decided to leave well enough alone.

A the end of our walk around the world we met once more on the mountain top

say our goodbyes until we meet again. I felt pleased at having learned so much this morning and thanked Jesus once more.

Feb 28, 2014

I woke up this morning thinking of people who need to fight to keep their heat on during this cold, cold winter, the hungry refugees from Syria, the atrocities in Africa that are so bad I dare not think about them in detail and of course, the dark state of North Korea that has thrown its own people back into the stone age. Jesus assured me that there are legions of angels on earth working to encourage as many people as possible to be kind and thoughtful to each other. We tend to hear the worst actions of people against people on the news. Most people are already kind and thoughtful and most could prosper if they had a chance. Unfortunately, that chance is slim for most of the people around the world because the money systems we have built over the years discourages kindness and sharing.

A good example is the PBS documentary I watched the other night about copper mines a hundred years ago in Calumet Michigan. The laborers worked under horrible conditions at the whim of a company that refused to allow unions. As I watched the show, the audacity of that company to assume ownership of the copper bothered me greatly.  God owns the copper. And it is no different today. Certain companies believe they own the gold and diamonds in Africa, oil conglomerates around the world pull in billions of dollars as if they were the ones who created the oil and gas. Admittedly, companies have the right to a return on their investment, ideas, and inventions, but to claim ownership and then exploit people? No. How dare a few portend to own what God has shared and given freely to all of us. God owns the earth and all that is in and upon it. We are merely its stewards.

Understanding and morals grow through the ages and one day, a more mature people will look back in horror at the impertinence of those who grabbed and gobbled up the earth’s resources for profit. It will look as silly to them as it does to us today for some person to try and sell us the Brooklyn Bridge or property on the moon. Common sense tells us that a mature people in a more perfect world would bestow great value on every human born, so much so that the resources would be extended to everyone as needed. This is why Jesus told us to love one another.

Well Jesus and his angels walk the earth at this time and see it all. You can’t hide behind a boardroom table, or in a luxury hotel or on a yacht. Can’t hide from God. None of us can hide from God though we might wish to do so. Better to let the kindness overflow and show love and concern for other people; stand tall with pride when Jesus knocks on our door, visits our church, or walks past us in a crowd or takes a glance into our heart.

This is a picture of the rabbit in my yard a few years ago. Lately I have see its footprints in the snow.

I am glad it survived this harsh winter.

March 1, 2014

This morning I saw all of us who’d gathered as resembling butterflies or honey bees lifting from a flower ready to carry the pollen to all parts of the globe. Can you tell I am eager for spring? I watch the light wash over the earth in huge waves that flow before us as we walk its circumference, waves splashing ahead then settling down to cover the land in love because the light is from God and is made up of love-energy. Most of us are not able to sustain such intensity of love for very long, yet during the short time we walked, we called and large numbers of people who were praying joined us. Some people who did were kneeling in prayer, some were walking, some were bowed down, and some lifted up to walk with us.

I saw large groups of contemplative monks and nuns come join the love as it circled the earth, Muslims sending out love, Sufis joining our march, and priests from various religious groups step up into the clouds to walk in spirit of love for all life. I suddenly had the notion that many young priests were also meditating as the Buddhist monks do. All this because Jesus has come to refresh and save us. As Jesus once said, evil will not prevail against my church. Today Jesus church is the world and his priests include the teachers of every religion. The universal Christ has come to gather us together into one spirit. Love will prevail.
