I
watched a pre-recorded Nova program about Origami. It was wonderful what people
can do with a single piece of paper. That program showed how inventive and
resourceful humans can be. Given the need, we always come through. It was exhilarating
to watch human ingenuity in play. How brilliant the human race can be
when pushed to the edge or given the chance.
I
looked to Jesus after watching the program and asked, “Surely, we will continue
to develop and expand our great knowledge long into the future.”
Jesus nodded. I sighed with relief. Contrary to the belief of many, there is no certain destruction aiming for humanity right now. We are too valuable, to worthy. (Ah, If only we could put to use this same effort and ingenuity in learning to respect each other.) So I feel relieved and pray and believe, but...
I
think of the burning of the library at Alexandria. All the years of writing and
learning and struggle to record knowledge gone in a moment. What did the human
race lose in that single day? The horror of it grabs at anyone who loves
knowledge. Also, there is a horror that the angels told me about years ago.
They hinted at a future life for humanity that is so horrible it was not worth
living. Yet, they did not explain exactly how and what caused such
distress. I am still left to guess. From what I understand, they were forced to
live below ground, to never walk under sunlight again. The only way forward was
to learn how to jump back into the past. They have jumped into our past and
present and they keep working to push back against that disastrous event so it
will not happen. They are watchful that, whatever their history was, it doesn’t
repeat.
This is why Jesus is here now. Heaven keeps pushing back at that kind of ending for humanity. We came close to ending during WWII and the cold war. We are always at the edge. But the nations seem to have learned to keep a close watch on and grope towards peace because they all know this is necessary for continued existence. As to what might have happened to our descendants, my imagination usually runs to the most horrible scenario possible, nuclear war, but the cause may be simpler. We could have allowed our climate to overheat so badly, there was no turning back and people could no longer live upon the surface of the earth. This idea seems totally impossible to us today. A stupid fear that could never happen. But what if?
We can see the extreme weather happening right now. An
extra tornado here an extra hurricane there, a flood, a drought, a soaking. It
has all happened before. Right? But has it ever happened so often? Is it
possible that this pattern could get so bad that the ocean currents change? If
it is possible, shouldn’t we start to fix the problem now? We live short term
lives so don’t think much about what will happen in a hundred years, but we
must try. Perhaps by putting our human ingenuity to work? Oh, wait, we already
have. All we need to do is continue building better batteries, more windmills,
cleaner cars, and better light bulbs. This war can be won.
There are three major events that could bring humanity
to its knees--nuclear war, a super bug, or run away climate. We have the
ability to control our fate or choose a quick or lingering end? The universe
won’t care, but God does. We are valuable players in the game of life.

Somehow we need to stop this rape of America by the new president. He seems to want to spend money for arms and then start a war to throw us off the scent of other actions he has taken. Cutting off funds for NASA is a perfect example of what we will lose. NASA’s Goes 16 Satellite shows our world and weather vividly like never before. Yet, those funds will be cut. The EPA has been quietly effective for 30 years the new president is cutting it to the core. It is as if he has no concern for clean water or air. To most people, this doesn’t make sense. I guess to manufacturing and big business it does make sense, but only if you consider why they like it--profit. So it turns out that many American companies put profit ahead of the wellbeing of people, their own children, and the children of the future. All this because regulations to keep our world clean cost money. Shame on them. And shame on the republicans who stand beside this new president without complaint. They will be held accountable too.
They should all give a care. This earth was given to us by
God and God is watching.
Stand back and take a look at what is happening. We are repeating history. Instead of Hitler going after the Jews, our own Orange Hitler is going after Hispanics and Muslims, and any who oppose him will be next in line for attack. Instead of putting people on trains we hold them in detention centers to send back-to where? Someone has been here for 30 years, how and where do you send them? If the detention centers continue to overflow some fervent follower of the new president will come up with a “final solution.” Already, a leader has rationalized that it is ok to separate women and children because “That will teach them not to come.” Young children are afraid to go to school because their parents might disappear while they are gone. This smacks of Hitlerism or Stalinism? Take your pick. Older people are afraid to leave their homes to go to work because of ICE. If you think you don’t want them here, think again. People from south of our border do most of the jobs that most of us are too proud to do like work to pick fruit and vegetables all day and only get paid for the number of boxes they fill.
Trump says he could stand on a corner in NY and shoot someone and people would still follow him. He is correct. Think deeply about what his statement implies because it says a great deal about who Trump truly is. It is my prayer that someone will gather enough evidence to tell this new president, “You’re fired.” Because, unless we get him out of office quickly, he will get us into a new war, then it may be too late.

I have been writing on the web for 15 years about my travels with Jesus and other numerous subjects, but all of it has one underlying purpose and that is to convince intellectuals that there is nothing to be weary of in regards to religion. Religion has many doors of entry, and one of those doors leads to scientific ideas coupled with religious ones.
It is odd, but as I watched Bill Maher on a 2015 YouTube program speak to young students in the UK about government in America I was in total agreement with each of his ideas. The questioner elected very down to earth and honest statements from Bill. I found myself agreeing with him even to the point of hating what he says while I laugh. I do hate some of the things he says, like when he says the word, “Bitch,” and also when he mocks religion by implying that Jesus is only our imaginary friend upstairs.
I would like to assure Bill and others that, on the contrary, our friend is not imaginary. Not only that, but he is no longer upstairs. Jesus, as a real man, is walking among us today, visiting each nation and witnessing our tragedies and triumphs. A lot of atheists will change their minds soon. I have not been told why or how.

It is becoming clear to me that all the opinions, writings, news comments, comic satire I see and read serve little purpose because what is happening is not normal so mere words won’t stop the actions of these new leaders. Their goal seems to be the eventual destruction of America. Through the breakdown of values, purposeful climate cover up, and a refusal to acknowledge inequality, their actions ensure the fabric of society in America will collapse before too long. I can understand war and that we have been conquered by the enemy. I understand this, but they also fill their bank accounts to the brim like kings and conquerors have done throughout history, which seems unfathomable to me because that old saying is still true, “You can’t take it with you.”
So, I asked Jesus, “What can we do in the face of such a takeover?”
Jesus assured me that they will be toppled. He said we need to keep pushing back.
Maybe more people will push back when they recognize the tactics our new leaders are using, twisting blame, trying to throw us off the scent, attacking the latest scapegoat. These same tactics were used before and we should all recognize them, if for no other reason than we have all seen the movies of WWII and the holocaust. I like to believe we are too sophisticated today to allow these same tactics to work. We Americans are a spoiled and willful people and will not be pushed out of place so easily. Jesus might put it this way, “Your days are numbered.”
I feel like burying my head in the sand, but my conscience
won’t allow me to do nothing. I now understand that it is my job to tell people
the truth about climate change the best I can. My only means of doing this is
when I walk carrying God’s light to other people. So from now on, along with
spreading God’s light, and while I give each person a hug, I will tell them
that we are heating up the earth and are the main cause of the wild storms that
are ravaging and flooding our land. I call on others here in America to join in
this effort. (Other countries accept the truth about climate change). Those who
hear my whisper can decide what they can do to help. Plus, it seems to me that
if people find out that they are being lied to about the single fact of climate
change, they will be less blindsided by other falsehoods.
The oceans are a sink for the excess
carbon dioxide but are now becoming more acidic.

Time magazine had an interesting article the other week
about President Trump deconstructing the Washington establishment. I actually
don’t have a problem with this idea. I imagine if Bernie Sanders had become
president he would have needed to do some deconstructing too. But with
Bernie the purpose behind his wrecking ball would have been better education,
health care, and livelihood for everyone. He would be a true Robin Hood who
takes from the rich to give to the poor. Our new president seems to be on an
opposite course. Deconstruction for the sake of oil barons, war machinery,
corporations, and insurance companies. The rest of us will be left to flounder
in our drying up ponds. This isn’t to say he is the only one. The democratic
who are also wealthy are often as thoughtless. It is no wonder that people
didn’t know who to vote for in the last election.
Humans are meant to go into space one day. It is our destiny. It will take courage, strength, inventiveness and funding, but most of all it will take people assured of freedom in a democratic society, a society that is mature, free of corruption, accepting of all people, and willing to reach out into the unknown. This brings me to what is going in America and perhaps around the world today. Why do we seem to keep moving backwards? What it boils down to is keeping people down, keeping people from rising up, keeping people from becoming the best they can be. I ask, “Why?” Why all the lies and fake promises? Is there a rational idea behind these untruths that are sprouting like weeds in a flower field? Is there an unknown force that wants us to stay ignorant, to stop us from achieving our destiny?
These thoughts rolled through my mind while lying in bed unable to sleep. Why destroy? Do we have a destructive gene, or some mythic devil within us? This sounds farfetched, but if we live in a matrix, and more people are beginning to agree that we do, then this matrix may be corrupted with a purpose. Playing with the idea I wonder if the corruptor or the ‘Mr. Smith’ of the matrix hates us because it is forced to stay grounded like the serpent in Genesis--that mythic serpent who God decreed must forever crawl upon the earth. We humans can leave, but not the serpent, whoever and whatever it is. Hence, it would continue to drive us backwards through war and conflict in order to prevent us from reaching for the stars.
Ok, I know I have went too far out on a limb here. But it was fun. And who knows, the idea may even contain an element of truth. I like to push at boundaries and take ideas to the next level. Maybe giving the old serpent, (or AI of the future that can jump into the past, like in my book Paradise Rebooted), is going too far. Then again, maybe not. Jesus told me that the basis of my book holds a lot of truth, though he didn’t get into specifics. Regardless, we humans seem drawn to climb the next higher mountain, or as it is God who fills the universe, maybe we feel drawn to rise up and join him.
March 25, 2017
As we gathered upon the mountain peak this morning, I breathed in contentment and sacredness. Here I was standing on little bit of paradise atop an earthly mountain because it is constantly bathed in God light. We stood together and absorbed the light into our bodies then walked back down from the mountain to feed as many souls as we could with holiness. I intended to spread knowledge along with the light this morning. I felt my own understanding expand as I flowed down off the mountain through fields of grass and wild flowers, vistas of mountains topped with snow and through forests with trees reaching as high as the sky. Many places seem almost like a paradise until us humans come along to corrupt the land. At that moment, it seemed to me that humans corrupt everything they touch.
Jesus stepped into my mind and said, “People are beautiful too.”
Right away
I had to rethink the corruption bit, that maybe I was overstating our role.
People truly are beautiful and I needed a lesson in empathy. And that is the
purpose of filling myself with God light, to enhance our beauty, to add value
to every life while I enhance my own. So when I stepped down and began walking
across the land in America I kept Jesus’ words in mind. I went to about five
people this morning. The first person was a young girl in college full of vim
and energy, too much because she seemed scattered and didn’t know what to do
with it. I perceived that she needed direction. I hugged her and surrounded her
with God light while I tried to calm her down. I told her that all the bad
weather we are having lately is caused by global warming. “It would be a good
cause to get into.” I whispered to her. I think she heard me.
The next person I went was a young black man who had just
hit the wall with anger. I hugged him and talked to him also. I told him that
he wasn’t the only one who felt hurt. You’re wrapped up too much in the self.
Look at the number of friends who already listen to you. You could lead them.
Instead of breaking something, go and fix it. Find a cause to fix.” As I sent
God light into him I kept repeating the idea that he could lead others to fix
something. I did mention the weather and how it was making people poorer, but
didn’t harp on it. I just wanted him to get the idea that he was a strong
person who was able to fix something if he would just think positive.
The next person was a middle age women who was going through traumas because her home had been damaged by bad weather. I felt that this person could be persuaded most easily because she was already hurt by climate. As I hugged her with light, I realized that she didn’t really think global warming was the problem. I tried to speak to her and tell her that higher temps are what is causing the excessive tornados and bad weather around the country. I told her that climate denial is based on wealth because certain leaders only care about oil corporations, not people’s homes. Even though she is older and so less likely to hear me, I think I got through to her. I added, “The next time you vote, vote for someone who promises to begin correcting our bad weather situation.
I never used to try and spread information before, but
lately, I realize that besides helping people, spreading knowledge may be as
much a part of God as anything else. This world is wonderful and we are the
caretakers of it. We must keep it healthy. Just as each and every person has
value, a healthy earth must be part of God’s plan too. Bad leaders destroy the
beauty of earth and people. Think of all the promise and new ideas that get
buried in poverty and want. We are all young flowers in need of nourishment. We
all need the basics to thrive and it should be supplied. Surely, this rich
country, built upon the sweat and backs of cheap and free labor, owes something
back to its own people.
This last election saw everything change for the worse, as
if the world flipped inside out. It will flip again, and next time I pray we
will have a leader with the courage to lighten the load of many, not only in
America but around the world. In fact, if we impeach President Trump because of
his shenanigans with Russia, maybe we could push for a new election, sooner
rather than later.
When I read that Joe Biden might run in 2020 I felt sudden,
huge sigh of relief. He is wise, experienced, and kind so would make a
wonderful president. Also, Bernie Sanders would likely make as good a
president. He has already proved himself on the campaign trail and he has the
best interest of the people in mind. He has courage and dares speak up when
others stay silent.

I so look
forward to God stepping in and fixing things, although, it doesn’t usually
happen which is why I hesitate to write it. Usually God makes us fix our own
messes. But it is my hope that this time will be different. Maybe we in America
needed this lesson of a really self-centered government to learn that total
disregard for the people’s well-being can happen in this country too. And if we
still haven’t learned, then the news shows could push photos of starving babies
to the forefront and explain that the America we used to feel pride in has cut
the funds for famine relief. The photos will be easy to find, the Sudan is
experiencing a famine right now.
On a lighter note, I was encouraged by an article in the NYT “Climate progress with or without Trump” by Michelle R. Bloomberg. As she explained, “The power companies and other businesses are going ahead with energy saving regardless of what happens in Washington.” Also, probably farmers, hunters, nature enthusiasts, hikers, fishermen and those conscientious people who take care of empty city lots care about the land too. A lot of ordinary people may not understand climate change but they understand their love for nature and the land around them. We will prevail.
And even though, the US has cut funding, many US citizens
send money to charities. I observe kindness and concern for other people here
at the bottom all the time. We care and will continue to care no matter what
happens at the top in Washington. In fact, because our new leadership is so
bad, it has encouraged more people to get involved with politics. We, the
people, know what is good. We don’t need those leaders to tell us. Witness all
the filled places of worship every Friday (Muslim), Saturday (Jewish) and
Sunday (Christian). If newspapers and news shows could tell all that is really
happening around the nation, they would be filled with such boring, everyday
stuff, no one would read or watch them.
