Note-I just realized that I made a blunder when I edited my web article for 8/26/12. On rereading it, I was shocked; my writing implies that priests never talk about Jesus ascending into heaven. Totally wrong. How did I write such a blooper? I guess my excuse is that I was trying to be too concise with words or I left out a sentence. Well, it just goes to show how easily I can make a mistake. Thankfully, it isn’t something published on paper, so I went back and fixed it.

I tend to be high in the sky and futuristic, but thankfully, Father Thomas is down to earth and in touch with the people. He said something this morning in his sermon that clarified my confused thinking on the matter of abortion. I have heard many people state that if you are catholic, you must vote against anyone who is for abortions. I felt disquieted and uncertain by my own mixed up thinking on the subject. Father straighten me out by asking, “How do you define Catholic? Is Catholic defined by abortion?”
He then repeated Jesus request to us: “To love God with your whole heart and to love your neighbor as yourself.” Father reminded us that love is the single, most outstanding requirement throughout the New Testament. I agree that abortions are horrible, yet do I dare let this single issue define Catholicism for me? No, certainly not. Rather I would be kind and loving to everyone I encounter, thereby spreading faith through example.
So I left
church this morning feeling more solid in my opinion, and more in love with everyone,
democrats and republicans alike. I laugh when I think of us in

This morning I climbed up the mountain again at Jesus request. He is teaching me to feel when I am in spirit form. I am learning slowly but am not bothered by my own slowness. I have the rest of my life and many others to walk with me in this adventure. As a topper to my climb, Jesus reached down, gave me his hand, and pulled me up and over the edge. His hand felt solid for that moment.
I stood with the others and suggested that we go someplace really strange this morning. For some reason, I already saw red bulbous growths where I wanted to go. I felt chastened and thought this trip would only be my imagination.
Jesus laughed and said, “But remember, if you can imagine it, it exists somewhere in this universe.”
That made me feel better. So our group called a few others to join in this travel and we all walked up through the sky tunnel. When we reached the top we stepped off onto a uneven ground scattered with low lying green vines or growth and interspersed between the vines was taller growths red and succulent just like I’d imagined. They seemed bent over like a half flower or curving leafs, about an inch thick. I noticed that there were various shapes to some of the plants. We assumed because the plants held so much moisture that we stood in a desert.
Jesus told us we were correct and suggested that we move to another place on the planet with more varied life. As soon as we did move, the whole group was surrounded by hovering paper things. They stood larger taller than any of us, and looked like pieces of oblong paper waving in the wind as they hovered in front of us. We seen eyes on each side of the paper sheet and we suddenly6 understood that they were intelligent, knew we were here, and wanted to satisfy their curiosity.
I reached out my hand to touch one of these amazing beings and as soon as I made contact, my hand felt caught, enmeshed in a tangled weave of fibers. I panicked and pulled my hand away. Now that I think about it, the being might have been attempting to analyzing me. There must have been about twenty of these beings and they followed us as we began to walk and explore more of their planet.
Soon we came upon flowers without stems. The one I saw first was bright red with large, even petals that formed into a cup. Looking around we saw that the floating flowers consisted of many colors. I wondered at the evolution and setting that created such floating, colorful flowers.
When the flowers moved past us, Jesus told us to follow him into the air. We did and looked down upon the flowers as they settled to the ground. The flowers gathered together making a pattern that looked amazingly like the background in which they lay, even though I could still spot individual flowers, here and there. My thoughts ran to the most common reason for camouflage, the need to hide from a powerful enemy.
I intended to ask Jesus if there were highly intelligent beings on this planet because I wasn’t sure if the paper beings were or not.
Jesus told us to look towards the forest. It was a forest made up of strange trees. The trees didn’t have strong trunks but consisted of wide, scattered branches as if the tops of trees were growing from the ground, more like veins of a sea fan than anything else. As we continued to look at the strange forest, a tall being stepped out of the forest and came out to greet us. This being was ultra tall, 3 times taller than any of us. It swayed as it walked in a beautiful wavelike motion. I was captivated by its beauty. It stood near us, sort of, because it kept swaying as it stood just like the paper beings had done. It was striking. Its skin was transparent like glass, but it turned a color red as we watched. I suddenly felt clunky and awkward in its presence.
Jesus told us that this being shows emotion by its choice of color and I had embarrassed it when I thought of my own short comings. (I would like to include the word ugliness here because that is the way I felt.)
I felt doubly ashamed at this and bowed my head and noticed that we were not standing on solid ground but vines that entwined like the forest ahead. Then I understood that this world had a very light gravity and the beings living upon it behaved as if they were floating. They seemed to be living in a true ocean of air.
I felt that I had to leave and the others agree. Oddly enough, this world was too strange for us, and yet, nothing was so strange that it didn’t make sense. A world with very low gravity might evolve such beings. Yet, if they had technology, I am sure it would have been too strange for us to understand. One thing that was certain, they were not startled or afraid of us. They seemed to take our visit in stride, more than we humans could ever do if we noticed someone from another planet visiting us. I still feel clunky.
Interestingly, something I have noticed over the years is that the more technologically advanced a civilization is, the more blind the people seem to be. I just thought of this because some people can see us when we visit and some can’t. Still, many people are blind to our visit, those same worlds that seem to have the same problems we do. Most of the people who can see us seem to be living simple, laid back lives. Some people we visited, humans in the future, left most of their technology behind or chose not to use it. I speculate that many civilizations are on the C curve someplace. We are climbing up the curve but many places that Jesus takes us may have people climbing down the curve as regards to technology. They have been there already and put most of it behind them. They only keep certain things that are relevant and useful. This may be because they learn to use their minds better. It is all a process, a necessary one because if we had all arrived at the top what would be the use of life? God enjoys the process and our living through it.

I met with the others today and told them I felt like I needed to work on my empathy this morning. I had been talking to Jesus and he stood on the mountain with us, but my feeling loved isn’t the same as giving it. This morning, I felt the need to spread God’s love and energy. So we held hands and called on God to fill us with light energy, then we each went our own way to spread God’s light around.
I saw myself as filled with so much light, I felt holy and quickly found a child who needed a good hug. I hugged the young boy for a minute and saw that the light-energy I carried spread into him. He smiled and I told him to go hug his parents and friends.
Then I did this to other children, as many as I could run into. Some were sleeping and some were awake but all of them glowed with light. Each then went on to share a bit of extra God energy with other people. In this way we made a chain of light energy around the world through its children. I believe this next generation will be different than our own, that these children are the ones who will save the world from our follies. They will remember how to gather to enhance God energy and use this energy to remake the world into a more spiritual place.

Just yesterday, sick and weary with a severe cold, I felt a pang of gratefulness to God when I flicked on the light switch and the lights turned on, and when I turn on the faucet and get hot and cold water. Moments like this remind me of how fortunate I am. Now that I am getting better from this cold I can even thank God for this cold because I have a sickness that will go away. So many people have sicknesses that last a life time. I am thankful every day for simple things that many take for granted. I know I did too when I was younger. I once acted as if the whole world was there for the taking.
Young people have so much to learn, and in my opinion, people are young until about the age of 50. Not everyone but many. It is at this age, the fifties and sixties that God seems to step into every life in a different way. This is when something happens to people to make them want to change and turn their lives around. Sadly, some turn towards wrong habits but most people, I am convinced, make a great stride forward.
Think about people in other places in the universe who don’t age, or can control their own aging process. To them, even a person with hundreds of years of life would be a mere child. Maybe this is why God seems so loving and lenient towards us, because we are children in the eyes of God.
We can hardly imagine what a truly mature mind would be like, but I believe I have an idea of how they would act. It is like our search for the truth. We climb up the mountain of truth and understanding but what happens after you get to the top? There is no place to go but down, and once down, the only wise thing left to do is help other people get to the top of the mountain. Such great mature minds, jump back into the muddle of life to help other people realize their dream of finding truth and understanding. I can’t help wonder at the great minds of the past who changed the course of human history for the better. Could they have been angels, unknown even to themselves during life? It seems likely to me.
Speaking of angels, I just read

Usually, I stay away from politics because I dislike it, but I learned something important today that I want to share. Twice now, Jesus has told me who needed to win the presidential election: The first time was for President Bush’s second run for the White House. The second time, just few weeks ago, was when Jesus told me that President Obama needs to win this election.
I am a democrat and knew who I wanted to vote for long ago, but Jesus is neither, so I pondered why Jesus thought certain people should win, men from opposite ends of the spectrum. I think of the bad economy today and the crash of 2008 which is still hurting us badly, but I doubt if Jesus would use this as his criteria. It is too narrow a view. Jesus sees through time, which means he looks at a broader picture than we do. This idea is what tipped me as to the reason Jesus would prefer we elected such different presidents. When I finally came up with the answer, Jesus spoke to me his agreement.
“Yes,” Jesus said to me. “You are correct.”
What I had suddenly realized is simply this: The United States of America, even with all its serious faults, is the role model for the future. Its ideals of freedom and democracy and many other great qualities that it was founded upon must be preserved and protected. Certain Presidents might be better prepared to hold fast to these ideals or deflect the nation from damage or even catastrophe.
I think about ignorance and brainwashing that goes on in fanatical groups or people who live under strict dictatorships in other parts of the world and how such restrictions can kill these same ideals. Too harsh of restrictions prevent new ideas. In order for a nation to progress, it must have the freedom to sprout new ideas and push forward into the unknown. I see us traveling to the stars one day and carrying these same ideals of democracy and freedom with us.
This is why Jesus said, “Obama must win this election.”
Jesus sees that President Obama will protect the nation best. I don’t know what is going to happen or what specific character trait that President Obama has that makes him the best choice. Admittedly, my view is slanted towards President Obama anyway. I am one of the working poor so believe it is paramount that a president be deeply concerned for all the people, not just a few at the top. Anything less is pandering to too much self-interest. An independent study proved that cuts at the top do not equate to jobs at the bottom.
Still, we all need to overcome our tendency towards too much self-interest. It is so easy to center on the self that sometimes we don’t even notice how thoughtless we have become of other people. I get back on the right path when we sing the words to a song in church, “So forget about your self…” I forgot the name of the song but I really need to sing that song sometimes, and I know others need to sing it too.

Recently, I have been seeing someone call me from another planet and wanted to go there, so when we gathered this morning, I suggested this to the others and with Jesus help, we stepped away from earth and onto the world; or rather, down into its deep blue ocean.
We were met by a beautiful woman with yellow eyes and dark blue skin. As soon as we met, I remembered that we’d visited here before. She wanted to show us something so we followed behind as she weaved herself through the water. We didn’t flow as well but being mere spirit it didn’t matter. We went through a dark, blackish area and then up and around a curve of rock covered in some kind of growth into a light blue area. She pointed to where she wanted us to look, but didn’t need to because it was so fascinatingly beautiful we stopped in amazement. We saw tall columns with twisting arches, curves, and pillars all carved in intricate designs with dark and soft color in various arrangements. Its complexity was mesmerizing. Everywhere I looked, I found new interesting patterns, and some areas continued to change as we watched.
Then she told us that her people had created this ultra-coral reef, that it was an ongoing work of art. When we looked at her puzzled, she added that it was they who arraigned the tiny crustaceans and arraigned where they should gather and live out their lives. Such an effort seemed doubly amazing to me because this work of art was so long and high it completely filled my view.
I felt tempted to swim beneath and through one of the arches and suddenly realized that such action would be acceptable. Of course, millions of fish were already swimming around and about, beneath the arches and between the many tall columns.
The women, named Lilia, told me that she wanted to show me that they had art too. She knew that I would live here one day and that I liked art. Her blue skin had shiny scales all over but she proudly showed us long fluffs of decorated skin at her ankles and neck. I think it was natural and got the idea that everyone grew his or her own pattern for display. Color is very important to these people as is vision and movement. I learned that with the help of a race from another planet, they imported whale and dolphin DNA from earth. Now, the whales and dolphins protect their bubble habits from shark like predators. Even more surprising, she also told us that the whales and dolphins belong and interact in their world government. This pleased me and I left with a smile.
As a group,
we next went to
