Archive –from 2005 to present - 2021
This is the raw notes that I am currently writing about which include my talks and visits with Jesus, (I call them raw because I only give them one edit). I began writing these notes shortly before 9/11. I take out notes that are too personal or sensitive. The notes continue from the end of my book Traveling in Time and Space: A personal encounter with Jesus. Many of these words come directly from Jesus after he speaks to me; therefore, they can hold pertinent information for us in today’s complex world.

Jesus, as a man, is walking and visiting all around the world today. It is also true that as he told us 2,000 years ago that ‘When you give a stranger water because they are thirsty, you have given me water and quenched my own thirst.’ This statement by Jesus’ can be understood to be both physically and spiritually true.

I have been listening to the Great
Courses lecture, “Jesus and His Influences.” I found it really interesting,
especially the last lecture that brought up a beautiful idea about Jesus I had
never heard before relating to John’s gospel. The passage where Jesus takes
dust from the ground, spits on it to make mud, and then puts it into the
blind’s man eyes and tells him to go wash in the cleansing pool. The lecturer’s
opinion is that in this passage, John has Jesus working on a Sabbath as a
way of continuing God’s creation. God created man by molding clay and rested on
the seventh day. Jesus worked on the seventh day. This could imply that Jesus’
mission was to complete God’s work and become God.
Another odd idea of my own is that
when Jesus says the end of days is imminent, he is speaking as if he already
knows the future. We tend to think Jesus was wrong because the world didn’t end
but something major did end, our dating system. The whole world gradually
changed their dating system from BC to AD. Year 1 began at Jesus birth.
We are born and meant to constantly learn and
grow. I think ‘mind-touch,’ the ability to reach beyond the mind and touch the
thoughts of another human is a growing talent for many people. It is real and
vastly important because this is a new way to spread love far beyond our own
physical self. The only criteria to join in the mind-touch gathering is the
ability to feel love and compassion. Sometimes it takes growth and maturity
before a person finds the ability to empathize with other people, animals and
plants, also the ability to mind-touch. Youth is a busy time of growth and
learning. As we get older, many people learn from life’s experiences to take
upsets in a lighter mode. Often, by the age of 70 happiness overrides
negative emotions and the ability to love can expand tremendously. Youth is wonderful,
but wisdom can be amazing. So today, at this dangerously pivotal time, it will
take the energy of youth and the wisdom of age to put our world back together.
Don’t dismiss Bernie Sanders because he is old.
I watched the
movie Lincoln by Stephen Spielberg
again on Netflix and enjoyed it even better than the first time. Once more I
felt Lincoln’s pain at the horror of war. President Abraham Lincoln knew that
his time was pivotal for democracy. Amazingly, he considered the outcome of the
civil war important for the whole world when he referred to it as, “last,
best hope of earth”
Democracy, and its
possible loss is pivotal in any age. Perhaps to heaven its value is like a
religion because, like God’s gift of free will, democracy gives people the
freedom of choice. Other essential earth times was WWI and WWII. Today, we have
arrived at the next pivotal crisis—the elections of 2020. It is up to us in
America to lead the way and make the coming ‘Age of Aquarius’ valuable for all
people.
I have long
believed that the universe is God’s mind (or dream) and that we are all
participants within that dream. This is how Jesus takes myself and others with
him into the universe to visit other planets, we walk inside God’s dream.
Fortunately, I found a few scientists who seem to agree. Stephen Hawkins said
that the universe needs an observer. Naturally, I think that observer is God.
Another scientist, Donald Hoffman argues that consciousness is the basic
substance of the universe. Rupert Skeldrake studies, “Telepathy and
Consciousness.” His theory includes people and animals, I would add plants.
I gave my
granddaughter a cutting of my beautiful philodendron plant to take down to
Florida because it carries a part of my psyche, which will help her feel less
lonely. Both scientists are on YouTube and I especially like Donald Hoffman’s
“The mystery of fee will.” To me it makes perfect sense. In my fiction books, my angels insist on free
will, an idea that regular science tends to deny.
This morning I noticed a long line of
people in front and behind me as we slowly walked up the narrow path to the top
of the mountain. The wind blew through our clothes and whipped our hair in the
stiff breeze. This gave our climb a sense of permanence and reality. I reached
out and rubbed the palm of my hand upon a white rock and felt its grittiness.
We gathered at the top and waited a few minutes for other souls to join us.
After thousands of us were gathered
together, we felt the heat of God fill us and watched a beam of bright, golden
light, dig into the center of our gathering and into the top of the mountain
like a drill. It kept drilling and drilling and throwing out yellow embers of
light that flew into each of our hearts. Then the mountain dissolved and we
began to march forward rolling the glistening light before us in a thick, honey
like wave.
Perhaps the light sward
was meant to cut out hatred and fear from the land we walked over. But only if
a person agreed to change, because all people have the ability to resist if
they choose. We marched and I thrilled to watch a few people rethink and
regroup, but saddened when others turned away. Regardless, all people are all
worth saving and it is hoped they will grow in spirit one day.
When I sent bundles of love into each
person, I begged them to not be afraid, to recognize the value of other people.
Our whole group of spirit minds kept the march forward until we surrounded the
whole of earth with a soft roll out of light. We hoped to hold it steady for a
long moment, long enough to sink into every soul and animal and plant.
Each one of us who joined the
gathering has this light spinning and burning constantly inside our chests.
Mine is spinning and throwing out sparks of love in a large swath of space
although I am sitting in my home alone. Space and time has little meaning in a
universe composed of mind. Stars blaze and the darkness of space becomes a
golden road to travel upon, a road like a ribbon that wraps around earth
tightening and releasing at every breath.
All of us hope to make the year 2020
the year the people collectively agree to heal bad feelings and start fixing
the climate disaster. This is the year we will rise above pettiness and show God
how great his human creations can be.
I haven’t traveled for a long time
with Jesus, so I asked if we could step off the earth again. I knew where I
wanted to go. I have friends on a planet I labeled Cotton World. A couple who
are very loving and who I haven’t seen for a long while. Jesus agreed we could
go there this evening. I asked a few people if they wanted to join us. Five of
us followed Jesus as he stepped off earth and onto Cotton World.
The first thing we saw was light,
fluffy substance that looks like a field of snow but isn’t. The fluffy stuff
covered the ground knee deep where we stood. As we looked into the distance we
saw very fat trees, dark against the whiteness, scattered over the horizon. By
earth standards these short, squat trees would seem stunted. The trees is where
the fluffy white stuff I called cotton comes from. The people here process it
into clothing and a thousand other items they need, even food.
We walked to the large tree, probably
as wide as my house, but shorter, where my friends live and they, and two older
short, plump, adults with their children came out to greet us. One young girl
half my size was a granddaughter. It didn’t matter that we were mere spirits,
they hugged each of us in turn anyway and then begged us into their home.
Their home is the hollowed out tree,
so fat and short it looks swollen. Inside consists of a large room that somehow
feels cozy. A ladder leads to an upstairs and a ladder leads down below. We
stood around for a while to let the other visitors look at their home. They
noticed the large tree hump off to the side with patterns carved into it, worn
off now at the top by many seated teller of tales. That is where they relate
their myths and special happenings.
Aaron took us down below ground into
a very large cavern, so huge we couldn’t see the end, to show us all the people
who were busy working at tables or vats growing a variety of things. They work
a lot with mushrooms and root vegetables. Aaron showed us one root vegetable
that was growing from the ceiling and down almost to the floor of the work
place.
I said, “Everyone looks so busy. Do
they have schedules?”
He laughed and said, “No, the men and
women only work if and when they choose and no longer.”
This is easy to believe because they
are a happy people who celebrate often especially after the cotton is cleared
from the ground. They are confined inside for a large part of the year so love
to dance beneath the sky.
With more hugs all
around, we climbed back up the ladder and walked through the cotton fluff and
away I asked the question that had been on my mind, “Is this planet close to
earth?”
Jesus nodded and
said, “This planet, and a few others, is close to earth but it isn’t for people
from earth because it is already inhabited.”
We all nodded at
that. When we finally do travel in ships to other planets, I expect we will
have enough morals to match our progress.
This will be us soon. I
love the moon in the sky.

In church Sunday, I was following along as an
alter server read the second reading of the bible and thought about how nice it
is to hear what people thought of God long ago. Then I felt Jesus next to me in
church smiling.
Then I asked, “Do you like what we are
doing?”
Jesus said that he was “Pleased with the Catholic
Mass” but then implied that he wasn’t happy with some types of worship. He
didn’t elaborate, but I got the impression that he was speaking of Christian
worship that was completely different from our own. I am not familiar with
other types of worship but imagined a group of people shouting in anger or
something else just as unchristian and calling it worship.
We often forget that Jesus is here on earth and
knows our ways. He sees how we celebrate his name and how we live his decree
that we love one another. He and his angels can be many places at once. If an
angel in spirit watches what a person is doing, it is as if Jesus is watching.
Jesus and his angels are all of one mind.
The angels are helping us prevent disaster by
encouraging each of us to love more, to change our ways, and grow up. It isn’t
always easy, but going to church every Sunday helps us grow in so many ways. I
recommend it. Sadly, many people have forgotten the value of church in our day.
Believe Jesus when he says, “They will be back.” He knows better than we
do.
This time, the Hitler-istic leader picked the
wrong country to upturn. As I read the comments in the NYT I am thrilled to see
how many people understand what this president is trying to do to us. This is
the modern world and most of us in America are not blinded by his
tactics. We all know that he projects his own faults into other people
even to the point of absurdity. He calls people liars, stupid, crazy and other
names. As someone commented, he is willing to burn the house down to save
himself from jail, where he will surly go after he is elected out of office. We
all see this. Even many Republicans know this but feel boxed in by threats.
Their only safe recourse is to drop out, which 26 have done. If you play with
the devil you pay with the devil.
I have 20 to 30 more years to live on this planet
and I am determined not to live those years in a disastrous war inside our
nation. This president will not prevail.
Jan 8, 2010
I shiver at the thought, but it is many people’s
opinions that our present leaders think it is ok to go to war because it will
bring on the End Times or some kind of Rapture. What the crap are they
thinking? They think their little selves are so perfect they will be
raised up while billions of helpless sinners languish on a hellish earth? Do
they think that God who gave us birth through love wants to see his people
destroyed? No, heaven, meaning Jesus and his angels and including good thinking
people will do everything that we can to prevent such an occurrence.
Obviously I got upset reading some comments
this morning. I’ll meditate in a few minutes to get rid of this bad feeling so
I can bring calmness to myself and other people today.
Jesus tells me that, “This push towards war will
be undermined.”
I say, thank you God.
I need to admit my own lack in the ability to
love like Jesus, who can love even those really bad leaders who are destroying
so many people. Assad comes easily to mind. A number of times I thought how
much better the world would be if someone had taken him out. He has destroyed
his own people and country for self-aggrandizement and power. The same for the
leader of North Korea and others, all ultra-selfish leaders that have risen up
around the world.
But Jesus says, “No.” They must be loved too.
I admit I don’t know how to do that. Which means
I still have a lot of growing up to do. Don’t we all?

I
come to a new realization this morning. I need to start whispering to people
during meditation to convince them that we must stop using petro chemicals as
soon as possible. Many of us already know this, but up until now, I have been
reluctant to actually push the idea during meditation. I have changed my mind
because climate change has become an immediate crisis that we can no longer
overlook.
The
decision wasn’t easy for me. I compare it to what happens in my book,
Otto: Angel Detective. In the story, I have the angel tell the retired
detective, half-jokingly, that he needs him to “Punch a few people in the nose”
because he can’t disobey God’s rule of freewill. Up to now, I have been using
this argument for myself as well. Whispering into a person’s mind during
meditation can give extra weight to an idea, so I’ve used this talent of
mind-touch with great caution. Lately, watching Australia burn with billions of
animals dying, three billion birds gone from North American skies, fires in
California increasing, floods here and down south turning basements and first
floor home into swamps, makes the truth of climate change most obvious.
So
this morning, myself and others who agree with me, began a campaign to suggest
during our march of love that our climate needs to be fix as soon as possible.
I whispered to numerous people that we need to stop using coal, oil and gas. I
added, “The well-being of earth depends on getting rid of petrochemicals as
soon as possible, even though it will demean the moneyed people who push for
their continued use.
I hesitated,
but finally decided to suggest that people in America vote democrat because it
is my understanding that only democrats stand on a platform of correcting
climate change, some quicker than others like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth
Warren. I am hoping that my whispers to people will help usher in a democratic
president who will demand change. I know that a real speech or rally is much
more forceful and effective then our little whispers, which are like a soft,
waft of breeze, but Jesus tells me to continue, so I will. A complete turnaround by America can also
encourage a more positive change in other nations. Our heating climate is a
worldwide problem that will take all of us to fix. We are in crises.
Knowing this,
I asked Jesus and his angels, “Can’t you fix this? Surly you can do the better
job than I can.”
Jesus’ answer
may surprise you. “We are constrained not only by freewill but also by a
non-interference policy.”
Wow. This is
like Star Trek, and properly so, because many of the angels come from the
future and/or other places. Besides, we all need to accept that if God wanted
to use a magic wand and force us humans to grow up sooner, he would have. So it
falls to us to learn how to prevent this climate crisis from turning our world
into a disaster planet.
The angels
have already spent many long years working to convince us to care more about
our world through gentle persuasion. Many people try, but any real fix will
take great political will by a new democratic president and a lot of money. I
believe we will have that money. I think we will also vote in a new Senate because
it is becoming ever more evident to a lot more people that something must be
done, and soon.
The angels
once showed me a potential future earth (all futures are potential) with a new
kind of energy grid. They showed me a large block of slightly radioactive
material they had just opened up in the ground. A village nearby was using this
wireless energy. Just today I read in Scientific American about a study that
proved old, spent uranium can be reused as a source of energy. (Towards
sustainability -- from a by-product of the biodiesel industry to a valuable
chemical, Jan 8, 2020, Tokyo Institute of Technology.) I am sure we have
a long road ahead before we learn how to use it wisely, but as we push harder
to get rid of petrochemicals, we will soon discover new and cheaper ways of
supplying energy needs. And, just as important, with the right encouragement,
we may also change our life styles because we love our world and all things in
it.
Sometimes I
am bothered that my writing on these web pages looks like bragging. I promise I am not. I am just trying to
report, through my own eyes, what we are all doing with God’s light. We all
stand on other’s shoulders and owe a great debt of thanks to the past. Our
marches of spirit around the world became possible only after Buddhist monks
spread the idea of meditation around the world, so much so, that now there are
many millions, if not billions of people who practice meditation every day. It
is these people who meditate who can most easily learn to mind-touch and step
their spirit away from the body to carry God’s light around the world. (I
am not sure a Buddhist would describe it the same way I do. They may not
believe in spirits or souls. I am not sure how to describe it myself).
I also think
that after many years, we will take our mental ability further and learn to use
our minds to cure the wounds in people and the earth. We will also use the
power of mind to travel and become physical on other planets. Considering that
we humans likely have many millions of years to continue, these dreams are not
beyond the possible. To some of us who have traveled with Jesus, these
talents are not dreams but facts.
Jan 18, 2020
I
was reflecting on what Jesus told me about “non-interference” and it bothered
me somewhat, only because writing the statement gave the wrong impression. I am
sure that when Jesus gave me that statement he meant that the angels agreed to
a non-intervention policy regarding Earth’s political systems, which has
nothing to do with helping individuals. Many of us have witnessed miracles by
angels and received their help in one way or another. Our crazy politics are a
different matter.
Sometimes
I paint the future and I remember a large painting I did in 1998 (not sure
where it is now. No doubt rolled up somewhere). It showed President Bush
standing in the dark with FBI men gathered around. They were all talking to an
alien. (Usually, by alien I mean angel because they are one and the same.) This
was before Bush was elected as President so I suspect that our government has
made a pact with the angels to keep away from the political muddles of
Earth. Too bad, they likely would be a tremendous help to us in saving the
life of our planet and preventing the coming, potential climate disaster. They
certainly seem to have better technology.
I
could be wrong in all this. Maybe the future changed after I did the painting,
maybe not. I know that angels are here now in space and on earth. I saw a group
of five lights in the sky a few months ago and they told me it was a show for
me. I appreciate their effort to give me solid knowledge of their current
presence near our planet.
Snow cloaks the earth in a quiet hush
Jan 19.2020
I was going to wait until
next week to put this writing on the web, but decided it was too important and
needed to go on now. Jesus asked me to write what he told me during the mass
this morning. It was this, “Tell people I have returned to earth.”
This morning’s mass was
quite unusual and simple because there wasn’t an organist. I found the basic
simplicity of this mass pleasant. Plus I sat right up front and could watch
everything the priest did during the mass. He sang part of his sermon
which was very nice. I had been thinking back at those nice young men we saw
leaving the seminary this morning as we were entering for our Annual St.
Vincent de Paul Luncheon. I assume they are studying for the priesthood.
That is when Jesus broke
into my thoughts and stood by my side, his spirit so vivid I could almost see
him, and told me that there would be many more priests entering the priesthood
soon. This is also when he asked me to write what he said about his being on
earth now.
It is stated many times
in the bible that Jesus will return one day. Well, now he has and I expect
numerous things will begin turning towards the good. We probably all agree that
we are desperate for Jesus’ presence at this time. Of course, he knows what is
going on around our planet because he has already looked at every kind of
social and cultural melee and our different types of worship. I think of
the words of the song we sang this morning, “Whom shall I send” that includes
the phrase, “They turn away.” In the near future, I think fewer people will be
turning away with Jesus so close at hand.

I
can see the machine gears turning faster and faster now. The big money machine
that grinds people beneath its claws is being oiled and ready to pounce. The
people behind the money are beginning to show their faces, faces that include
Hillary Clinton, who said that “No one likes Bernie.” Of course they
don’t like Bernie Sanders. He is the only candidate who talks about the working
class and how they are being squashed by the economy built on oil and petroleum
products, squeezed out of government decisions by big money in politics, and
regulated to mob status by those ‘in the know’ who run the world. Yes, the
money machine doesn’t like Bernie Sanders, which is why I and a million others,
do like him.
I
perceive him to be an authentic person with great integrity who has a real
concern for the working class. A type of leader hard to find today. Long ago,
when I was just 40 years old, I lay in bed crying for the people who were so
much in need and despaired that people would ever receive help. A voice in the
night told me that help would come one day and that I could be a part of it.
That voice was Jesus, although I didn’t know it at the time and Jesus always keeps
his promises.
Now
I believe a person has come around with the nerve and fortitude to accomplish
what I wished for long ago. So push on Bernie. We are behind you one hundred
percent.
I have been
listening to Andrew Young on YouTube and I like him and the solutions he
proposes. Maybe he will be picked as the vice president. His Value Added Tax
makes good sense. I have always thought that those who can afford luxuries
should pay through the nose for them. As an example, he said that every part of
a car would be taxed, but he didn’t say how much that car would cost in the
end. (Not that I care since I won’t be buying any new car).I am not sure about
his idea of giving everyone in America a thousand dollars a month, but like he
said, “America is the richest nation on earth.” So we have the money, it is
just ill-proportioned and lopsided.
It is natural
that each solution the democrats put out can also present a problem, the
largest, getting these grand ideas passed by congress. But we desperately need
to turn this economy on its head. It has been proved mathematically that wealth
always congregates at the top, so to save our nation, we need to put a halt to
this upside-down growth. With the large numbers of discontented people today,
we just might do it by voting in the right person.
What I don’t want is a candidate in the
middle. Then we would get the same old-stuck-in-the-mud Washington that wallows
in self-importance and wealth. If we have learned anything from our bout with
this narcissistic president, it should be obvious that it is time for great
change. A change as great as what Abraham Lincoln and Franklin D. Roosevelt
once did for our nation. It is time to flip the economy upside down so it
can lift all boats.
Question:
Did Nancy Palosi deliberately put off sending the articles to the senate to
prevent the two top democratic contenders who argue for a drastic change in the
economy from campaigning in Iowa? It is possible. She is wealthy as are most
members of the senate. They don’t want to pay more in taxes even if it would
start to correct the bad situation for most people. That old adage of: Follow
the money trail is true, even more so today. Does the money establishment
always win? Maybe not this time.
This
morning those of us who mediate rolled across America like a thick, golden jell
filled with a million points of light carrying God’s message of love and
whatever else was in our hearts. I spread the idea of upturning an economy that
caters to only a few. The richest nation on earth should consist of people who
are all well-off and thriving. We need to begin to make this happen for
everyone.
And
at the same time, if most people have their basic needs met and enough savings
for a rainy day, they would be more able to understand the damage to the
environment our consumer economy has on our world. It takes a healthy,
comfortable mind to comprehend that, instead of craving for wealth, it is
better to strive for a life of creativity and optimum value. Inner peace is a
greater treasure than anything we can purchase at the store, certainly it is
more valuable than the next iphone.
Notice the tiny bird sitting on the podium. Is it begging for help?
Three billion birds are gone from North America.

I
feel like I need to do something more for the planet. But what? There is little
I can do. I can’t walk or march for the cause. So I have decided that the only
thing I truly can do is to contact diverse people throughout the day and
suggest that “We need to get a handle on this climate change.” And that “We
need to fix the uneven economy so it will “lift all boats.”
I
won’t tell people in a spiritual whisper who to vote for. I think that would be
going too far with this talent God gave me. But I can tell people to vote for a
democrat because they are the only ones who agree that these problems need to
be fixed.
Yes,
this is what I’ll do. Besides, it goes along with what Jesus and his angels
want for us humans. Else I wouldn’t do it. The problem is that I will forget
because I get too caught up in everyday life. Well, it is too important to not
forget. Try to remember throughout the day to just reach out and mind-touch
with someone, a face in the crowd, a stranger walking on the street, a worker
in the hospital, a business person in a meeting, any person who seems receptive
to what is needed.
I
was only three years old when Auschwitz was liberated in 1945, but I have seen
enough movies and read enough about the holocaust to complete the picture.
In fact, I have one DVD called, God on Trial, that I watch every few
years. When I looked at the photos from Auschwitz this morning, they pulled me
under.
‘Why? I asked
Jesus. Why didn’t you stop it? You are a Jew.”
His
answer: “I am here now.”
Yes,
Jesus is here. He will make changes but mostly he does his work though us. He
has touched our minds and we in turn go out and touch other minds thus raising
the quantity and quality of love on the earth. It is greatly needed at this
pivotal time.
Pivotal
because the same character types are at it again, they are just wearing new
faces. This time they won’t even get to first base. Not only is the world
watching, but Jesus has returned. The cry of “Never again” can still ring
true.
Why
does what happened in Germany long ago affect me so deeply? I believe I was
there, somewhere, somehow suffering in the Nazi mire of hatred. Is it a race
memory or a reborn life? My suffering does help me sympathize with a black
person who is pulled down under when they revisit the atrocities of slavery and
the Jim Crow South. Is that a race memory too? Do our reborn lives follow
racial lines? None of us really
knows. We do know that institutionalizing hatred can lead to the genocide
of millions and that we must never let it happen again.
So I wonder
if the whole of our earth is still trying to heal from its wounds of
yesteryear, wounds of murder that left imprints on all of us and today’s wounds
of nature. We all need healing, which is why we carry God’s light around the
globe, a spiritual food to make us whole. As more and more people join in the
march and carry the light, more people will become healthy and filled with
love. This is how the angels do their work and how we can help them.
A question
for Bernie Sanders or other democrat: What are your plans if the current
president refuses to step down, in fact, creates an emergency in an attempt to
void the election. I was listening to Bill Maher expound on this subject on
YouTube. He made it really funny. He has great writers. He isn’t the only one
who expects this problem. Many of us did as soon as Trump became president.
Also, it is a fact that Trump will be in court facing a few judges for
corruption as soon as he leaves office. And a book I read long ago, The Great
Late Planet Earth by Hal Lindsey, predicted that a US president will declare a
state of emergency to stay in office. A few of its predictions have already
come true such as England leaving the European Union.
This is the why of Iran. The president keeps trying
to start something big and someone else keeps pulling the rug out from under
these attempts. That someone is Jesus working behind the scenes to effect good
in the world and prevent a nuclear disaster. Jesus told me he would do
so. It is hard to get credit for something that doesn’t happen which is
why I did the painting of a young god (male/female) protecting the world. The
young god is also a representation of all of us in new age and our actions
within it.
My question
to the democratic winner still stands. I know that Trump’s attempt to stay
will not prevail because of Jesus, but remember, Jesus works through us. So the
next president will need a plan to ensure he/she can step into the office of
president. It had better be a good one.
I see those
hordes of people photographed yelling and praising Trump. I wouldn’t be caught
dead doing so. Those photographs will live through history. Imagine explaining
to your grandchildren why you are in a photo praising a most debased leader. I
wonder did the German people hide their own compliance, their own photos. How
did they live through the shame? How will our citizens do so? I don’t
know.
Still, I do
need to be careful criticizing another person for being ignorant. Often I feel
like an infant myself. It seems the more I learn, the more I have to learn and
am thankful that I recognize this. I have decided that a few high ranking
Buddhist and other Monks, their simple lifestyle, and accumulated knowledge
over time makes them the only adults on the planet. The rest of us are mere
children still accumulating too much stuff and using up precious
resources.
Jesus
suggested that I keep mentioning his presence. So I repeat: He has returned. We tend to have short
attention spans and Jesus’ presence on Earth means a lot to people. I think it
is important to compare Jesus’ character with the person you intend to vote
for. How does that person stack up in an honest concern for others? Not concern
for just one segment of the population but for everyone. It seems to me this is
the most important criteria in this next election. No one is perfect but we
should try to pick someone with views as much like Jesus’ own as we can.

We are back
to the money changers in the temple. The temple being the earth and the money
changers…? Well, we all know who they are. The fight is heating up against
Bernie Sanders because he is about to upturn the tables.
Yes things
are getting messy. They the - DNC, Senators, Republicans, CEO’s, (add your
own) are all getting afraid he will win. They are the ones who will pay those
high tax rates. Well, there is still hope. FDR won in spite of them and made
the tax rate 90%. Bernie and the new Senate will be less demanding.
Matthew Hughes’ comment in NYT
“I'm a Canadian, so I find all this agonizing over Sanders rather bemusing. In Canada, he would be a middle-of-the road politician, maybe a little left of center.
In what sensible country is single-payer, universal-coverage, national health care plan a radical proposition?
Students in Denmark, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Norway and Sweden pay no college tuition fees. Are they ground down by communist tyranny?
Parental leave? Reasonable drug prices? These are benefits other democratic societies take for granted.
I wonder how many Americans know how
strange their peculiar system seems to the developed world.”
Well said.
Thank you Matthew from Canada

There are
times when I am very grateful for Father Thomas at Sacred Heart Church. Lately,
I was reminded of how appreciative I am that he insists that his church should
care about the homeless. I heard two ladies complain about the proposed new
recovery center in our neighborhood at Canfield and Mt. Elliot, saying that it
is for “crazy people.” Untrue, but their minds are set. They were both black
and I walked away wondering what church they attend.
At Sacred
Heart we give breakfast to the homeless on Sundays. One lady, JoAnn, brings
used clothing for the homeless every week. Our church makes room St. Vincent de
Paul, an organization that works for low income people. At St. Vincent de Paul
we help people with high energy bills, give food from Gleaners twice a month,
and give out new coats and other warm clothing to people in need. Extra food
and clothing are often donated by companies such as Eastern Market and Macy’s
that know we are there and choose to help people in the neighborhood any way
they can. Plus the church has many groups who help people.
These acts of
kindness are what drew me to the church in the first place, and what keeps me
going back every Sunday. None of this would happen without a pastor who has
deep concern for people less fortunate than most of us.

Jesus told me a few times that he
would heal my legs and knees. My knees still crunch at times, and I still
limp but I have noticed that I can walk further without my legs becoming weak I
try to walk most days and use a walker down the sidewalk to be safe.
I complained to Jesus with a laugh. “Where
is my miracle?”
“It will take time for your knees and
legs to heal.” Jesus answered.
Yet, when Jesus healed my lungs, it
took only a few seconds. So I have come to the conclusion that Jesus and the
angels are not in a hurry to heal me because it might put a halt to my need to
communicate with people through mind-touch. I can’t march and carry signs for a
cause like other people, so I have learned to compensate by reaching out in
other ways. Practice makes perfect so I expect I’ll get even better as I
keep working at it.

I
got a visual message from God today. The message was stop complaining and go
forth. Ha. Somehow I pulled a muscle in my right buttock which causes me pain
with every step and even when I sit if I over use the muscle. So I keep myself
loaded down with ibuprofen and a mild muscle relaxer the doctor ordered. I need
to rest but I also needed to go to St. Vincent de Paul because Wednesdays are
the days we help people behind on their energy bills. We also give out food so
I knew we would be busy.
When
I got out of the car, cane in hand, because I am having a hard time walking,
there, five feet in front of me, going through the glass door of the Activity
Center was a young man I’d never seen before likely in need of food. This man
was using two crutches. His right pant leg was slung over his shoulder. He only
had one leg.
Instant
shame filled my psyche. How dare I complain of butt and leg pain when I can
still walk with two legs? Then I laughed. Only God could set up such a
circumstance or coincidence. And God’s message was loud and clear. Grin and
bear it.
My
recent injury caused me to look up pain and learn more than I ever wanted to
know about it. (It seems that I have a gluteal injury). Interestingly, when I
spoke to Jesus about pain, he told me that they, the angels, can’t eliminate
pain completely, that they put their greatest effort in preventing the cause of
pain. He added that I would be amazed if I knew how much troubles and
tribulations they had already prevented from happening in my life. Most
lives really. I thought of all the people who go to church on Sunday and pray
for help and how busy the angels must be as they protect most of us from harm.
Sometimes they slip up. Sometimes they can’t prevent a disaster. It is almost
as if we are determined to jump into the fire regardless of the
consequences. Even angels can’t
over-ride stubbornness. I can remember times when I rejected a whispered
warning. Pulling this muscle was probably one of those times. Will I ever
learn?
Does
anyone remember the Occupy Wall Street Movement? It was a movement against
economic inequality in 2011. I thought about it lately because it is the first
time I ever donated a few dollars to a political cause. I have always disliked
politics and my only involvement was to vote. When I saw the promise in the
Occupy Wall Street Movement I wanted to contribute in some way. But the
movement collapsed because it didn’t have a strong leader.
Now
I think Bernie Sanders is that strong leader. I try to donate my little $3.00
or $10.00 when I can because it seems to me that he promises to put up a good
fight regarding Wall Street and all it portends. No one else running for
president, with the exception of Elizabeth Warren, could change this
topsy-turvy system. Money managers and CEOs have taken over so slowly we hardly
noticed it. I have just read that this nation has moved so far to the right
that what Bernie and Elizabeth Warren propose would fit in well in the politics
of F. D. Roosevelt or President Eisenhower.
Well,
I intend to think of a perfect phrase to whisper to people’s ears about this
nation’s potential downfall if we don’t vote to change what is going on.
Climate change is easy. By now, so many people have seen flooding and fires and
tornados that they are becoming fearful and ready to listen. Not sure about the
economy because a lot of people are just glad to have a job, any job and don’t
realize how different our nation could be if we were to follow the example of
Norway and Sweden. I am not sure if my whispers will make a difference, but I
intend to continue. I remember my own stubbornness. Well, all I can do is try.

We are entering the Age of Aquarius. This means a number of things. This morning a thousand, or million meditating minds flowed on an ocean of love that covered the whole of earth. Our minds can flow like water, beyond our own brains and into other people. We can share ideas that enhance this physical world. We can upturn the uneven economy that ignores the plight of so many. I watched a video last night that said that young people are not religious. Maybe not, but what they are is spiritual in the sense of wanting something better for their fellow men. It is the young who are impatient to accomplish these necessary changes. No wonder they follow Bernie Sanders. He runs a campaign on the ideals we should all care about. The young people who will inherit this Aquarius future want these ideals to begin now.
I am disappointed. I thought if ever
we had a time to turn the establishment upside-down and stop this oligarchy
that has been taken over our government in the last 40 years, Bernie Sanders
was it. But Burnie didn’t do well on
Super Tuesday. So we may wind up with the same bloated, wealthy, self-centered
Washington we always had before and during Trump.
I’ll vote but I am done with
politics and following it in the news. I believed like the young people, that
we need a big change and that we needed to begin converting to a government
that is truly for the people, a government like they have in Denmark or Sweden.
Well, like I say. I feel dismayed because my life-long dream of “Lifting all
boats” is just about over. I don’t think Biden has even promised any change. He
will just bring us back to the middle, the same place where the money changers
and billionaires run politics, the news conglomerates, corporations, and
everything else. They pushed their own choice for president. Woe to America.
Spring is almost here. Hope springs eternal.

I
watched the movie The Planet of the Humans (An obvious take on Planet of the
Apes) sponsored by Michael Moore and produced by Jeff Gibbs and Ozzie Zehner.
Here is the link: planet of the
humans.
The two hour move is a mind blowing revelation about the
past failures of our green revolution. Sadly, the movie doesn’t suggest a
solution. The movie portrays our attempts to clean up the world as a disaster.
It explains how money and greed has overtaken most of the solutions to global
warming. We actually need to use manufacturing to build solar panels,
windmills, electric cars and other ‘green solutions, which detracts from their
efficiency.’ And of course, big money has stepped into the fro because
they see profits. Finance and industry are what is wrong with the whole
shebang--humans killing the planet for green-bucks.
What to
do about it? I don’t know, unless all of us stop producing and consume less
products, (Easier for us older folks but not so easy for young families).
Everywhere we turn, it seems there is another un-fixable kink to the problem of
climate change. I recently read in Huff Post how using cement to build roads
and huge structures greatly adds to the CO2 problem. How can we stop
construction? How do we change our life style enough to make a difference? As
individual families, we might try, but it won’t be nearly enough to stop the
onslaught. Will anything?
I am beginning to think that this Corona virus is an attempt by Gaia Earth to stomp our human hubris down to size to give balance to the earth once more. To remind us that we have went too far and must change now or pay the price. And what a sad, horrible price. If we don’t wake up and change our ways soon this beautiful blue earth we call home may next become the Planet of the Apes (or Planet of the Dogs, or Planet of the Cockroaches).
Really
looking forward to playing in the flower garden soon

Hundreds of
thousands of people have died for a cause, whether they knew it or not. Most of
us know someone who has died. I hope their many deaths will not be in vain but
convert into a teaching moment that opens our eyes on how to truly save the
planet. Because of our need to shelter in place we now see what happens when we
cut back on greed and over indulgence. These thousands of deaths, and more to
come, is a high price to pay, so please can we, at least, increase the value of
their sacrifice by changing our world for the better. Lately, our air is
cleaner, our streets almost empty, oil is being used less, animals roam freely,
industry has been cut down to size. I know small businesses didn’t contribute
to the over-indulgence so maybe they could come back without causing too much
strife. I agree with Andrew Yang that people should get money every month to
keep them from being desperate, which may finally increase kindness and small
hobbies. It takes a calm, settled mind to fine self-worth.
In other words,
what is happening now because of the virus should become our new normal if we
want to save our planet, other animal life and ourselves. I know there is more
than conglomerates that are over producing. We have tech giants and investors
and other wall-street money makers that I don’t know about or understand. I
admit my ignorance about financial aspects of the country and world. Yet, we
can’t deny the clear skies and clean air caused by many companies’ closing.
Shouldn’t this fact
help us rethink what we actually need instead of what we want? Rethink how much
we need new cloths, and furniture, flying from here to there, or constantly
driving when there might be other solutions. We all tend to consume just
because it is available and we want it. What a changed world if we
limited ourselves to only what we need and let go of the many extras.
Especially those of us living in the west should keep the word ‘enough’ in mind
and live by its philosophy.
I have been
hesitant to embrace Joe Biden as our democratic candidate because I saw our
chance for real economic change fly out the window with the dismissal of Bernie
Sanders. Now I realize that his talk of taking taxes from the rich, revelation
and socialism scared too many people. I admit that Joe is ‘nice’ and decided to
accept that as necessary at this time. But an opinion article in the NYT’s by
Lis Smith suggested that we need a “Healer in Chief “instead of a Commander in
Chief. She is right and opened my eyes to the real Joe Biden. He is probably
the most needed solution for our nation during this time of crisis. We truly do
need someone who is nice, emotional, empathic, and loving at the top. He’ll
have a lot of things to fix, but I assume he will pick the right people for
every job, people who will get things done, people who will begin to unweave
the damage caused by our current president. Yes, our nation is ready for a
steady, loving, and hopeful leader—A Healer in Chief.
My white daffodils are in bloom. Isn’t spring wonderful?
Weekly Bits and Comments – May 11
I often tease my adult granddaughter that
she is a Pollyanna because she only wants to see the good side of life. Lately,
I have been turning in her direction. With so much sickness and distress around
the world, I too want a vacation from these hurtful times. I watched ‘Back to
the Future’ and ‘Forest Gump’ this weekend. Both were delightful and pulled my
mind away from deeper, serious thoughts. -- Weekly Bits & Comments continued [link]
‘
I think I am not the only one who thinks
like this. I haven’t wanted to watch those big guns and shoot-em-up movies for
a long time because I have mellowed with age, but I wonder if it is more than
wisdom that pushes me away from wanting to view such violence. Aren’t we all
getting sick of guns that blast away at life as we’re all inside a game?
Watch television some evenings because I
have a lot of time on my hands, but mostly medical shows when I can find them
because they seem harmless, but even those can be too painful to watch today. I
wonder if, after all the death and pain of social distancing, writers of
television shows and movies will finally get the idea that we need good,
intelligent, interesting movies. Certainly, there are enough good books out
there in which to gather real ideas.
Perhaps it used to be that no one wanted
to watch a ‘boring’ movie, but these hurtful times may be turning our ideas of
entertainment around. I don’t want sappy either. I’ll take thoughtful,
peaceful, quiet, inventive, etc. Well, “If cabbages were kings,” (from a poem
by Lewis Carroll).
The Butterfly Effect
If you know about Chaos Theory and the
Butterfly Effect (a tiny butterfly flapping its wings on one side of the globe
can cause a thunderstorm on the other side of the world) than you already
understand that what we do during meditation can actually change the world for
the better, even though it seems so simple. During meditation (or prayer) we
step out of our bodies and go about in the world to share God energy, hugs, and
whispers of hope to individual people.
The actual effect seems elusive and
insubstantial even though we have thousands of people and angels joining in the
effort. Many times I wondered if what I was doing was worth the effort, but
then I would ask myself, “What effort?” It takes hardly any effort at all to
meditate and think of another person who you choose to share love with. Even if
I only accomplish self-quietude, I have gained and it has cost me nothing but
time.
May 16-2020 - Travel with Jesus
There is no reason to travel to another world for the
scenery, earth is beautiful and varied enough for many lifetimes. The variety
of wonderful photos of places on our planet prove this.
Jesus said he to takes us to other plants to view
other people’s cultures more than the scenery. This day he took us up through
the sky-tunnel and we stepped off onto a landscape that seemed overgrown with
tall, brush with gray leaves. A man stepped out from behind one of the bushes
and motioned for us to follow him.
Obviously, he could see us as we could see him. What
does a person see of us where they are evolved enough to notice our presence? I
wear a white gown, but a few Buddhist friends often wear red robes, anyone else
wears whatever clothes they imagine for themselves, from priestly garments to
monk robes. The man who motioned for us to follow was wearing a half-long white
tunic over light purple skin. Strikingly beautiful.
We followed him through a lot of grey brush but when I
thought about photosynthesis I was suddenly shown a picture in my mind of a
tall, enclosed green house. Also, as we walked, I noticed plants lower to the
ground were green like on earth but the grey predominated. Looking over the
tops of the gray brush I noticed that some tall fauna was orange, perhaps like
our trees on earth in the fall.
With all the leaves sort of grey, I wondered if
perhaps that is why this man had light violet skin and that he’d evolved to the
color of the leaves, then realized this wouldn’t be accurate. We humans don’t
have green skin just because our leaves are green.
I rolled up my sleeve and showed the man my light
skin. He nodded as if he were familiar. I understood from his nod that some of
his people had been to earth. He was very tall and his light violet skin
had a matt finish. His finger nails were a darker purple as were a few his
facial features. He was very pleasant to look at. His white tunic flowed around
in the breeze as he walked.
We followed him along a path layered with large flat
stones of various pastel colors, yellow predominating. Finally, we stood before
a super tall greenhouse and he pointed to its width and summit. He then
explained that a deep cold would overtake this area of their planet very soon.
The green house had been built to prepare for this severe winter. Their planet
was slowly moving into an ice age.
He explained that their race was very old as was the
planet. “We have few people now living here on our planet.” All his speech came
to us by way of thoughts, except for a single moment when he spoke out loud.
Our minds
heard, “Ah here is one of the young people now.”
In front of us stood a young girl, beautiful with
slightly darker violet skin that seemed like velvet beneath the planet’s dimly
lighted blue sky, tinged with orange. She wore a wraparound tunic that reached
to her skinny knees. But, it was her face and smile that enthralled me and
caught and held my attention. Life seemed to bubble from her twinkling eyes and
simple smile. She was surrounded by a cloud of pleasant happiness. I didn’t
want to turn away.
Our guide, seeming to take the girls effect as normal,
continued and explained to us that they have very few children and treasure
them greatly. We spend most of our time studying the plants and geology of
our planet. Its past is not as volatile as was your earth.
Our earth, I thought and cringed. I was thinking of
our people and how primitive acting we still are. I felt embarrassed for
humanity. These people seemed to exude wisdom from their very nature.
Our guide must have picked up on my thoughts, because
he said, “All people must grow to maturity.”
With so few people in evidence, I wondered if the
people on this planet are a dying race. He heard my thoughts and said that no,
many others have moved to other planets. “The only thing dying is this planet,
and that will take a very long time.
He motioned for us to follow further towards the
extremely tall greenhouse, but as we walked I noticed we were surrounded by
many large greenhouses. He explained that they had a clear ceiling that would
cover this whole area where we walked if the cold became too extreme. This area
would be large enough for a couple of football fields on earth.
When we walked down a path, past the tallest
greenhouse, we saw a waterfall that seemed to reach into the sky with numerous
rainbows at various points within the mist. As I looked, I blinked as if I were
seeing double.
Our guide smiled and said this is what I wanted to
show you. It has just been completed. I saw that it was made of the same
material as the greenhouses but this half-building enclosed most of the
waterfall. It also seemed to reach into the sky until its top was out of sight.
This will protect our water supply, our guide said. We
all agreed that it was an amazing feat of engineering. To me it was a wonder
that it held up because everything was so huge.
“Is it made out of glass or acrylics?” I asked.
He said the material had a silicone base. The
buildings did have ribs but they were spaced very far apart and I wondered at
the sturdiness of the buildings. On earth, we would have used many more ribs
closer together.
We decided to leave and as we walked away, I looked
back at the wonder they had created. It was all beautiful as were the people. I
hope to meet them again one day when we travel to other planets.
May 26, 2020
I watched the movie “Cosmos” on Netflix and got to
thinking about visitors from other places. So asked Jesus.
“You are not ready.” He said to me.
For a long while, I have been hoping for a few
visitors from space or Nibiru to visit us, not physically because that would be
dangerous but as holograms. Or perhaps for the planet Nibiru to show up
in our sky. Neither will happen very soon. Jesus told me why this evening. He
said,
What he meant was that our civilizations were not
ready to receive visitors. I accept and understand. When you look around
through television, the internet, or YouTube it becomes obvious that
approximately 40% of the people in the United States don’t believe in facts,
science, or real news.
I am afraid that if visitors were to step onto earth,
people would start riots, fires, scream disbelief, or worse. Quite frankly, too
many people prefer to remain ignorant and would not accept visitors from time
or elsewhere. Sorry people. Maybe our grandchildren’s children will be the generation
to greet the first official visitors to earth.
May 30, 2020
Wake me up in January after the next president takes
office. I feel like David Brooks about this past week, it is all too much, this
chaos, this near dystopian mess. Likely, worse is going to happen before things
get better and calmer. Yet, I have hope.
Jesus tells me that, “Things will all work out in the
end.”
There is one relationship area that I want back from
childhood, the idea that policemen are helpers and friends. Isn’t that what
children’s books teach? Maybe not in Detroit kindergartens anymore. When did I
stop thinking of police as protectors? Don’t remember. I read an opinion that
to fix this problem, police need to stop being the jailers of the nation.
I have since read a good opinion article in NYT’s “No
More Money for the Police,” by Philip and Thenjiwe McHarris. It is the best
solution I’ve read that might work. They argue that police need to stop going
to domestic and mental cases, that special people could be hired to go on
certain types of calls. Also, I think carrying rubber bullets in most police
guns might prevent some disasters, but not all. It wouldn’t have helped Mr.
George Floyd or Mr. Ahmaud Arbery. Only better race relations would have helped
Mr. Arbery.
While George choked to death, I got upset and yelled
to the television from my chair, along with the bystander as he, said, “Let the
man up. He is already handcuffed.”
Talking and promises and riots are not going to fix
this. Get rid of those older policemen who came into the force thinking they
were most tough and above everyone else. What was the matter with that man who
kept his knee on Mr. Floyd’s throat? He truly was acting the bully.
This wasn’t a case of someone pointing a supposed
weapon at the police. All four of them were in no danger at all. Beyond the
adrenaline of the moment, there was enough minutes left to stand up and
lift his knee off the man.
I don’t know how officials are going to fix this
problem, but they better do more than they have did so far, and soon. Else this
president will try to turn black, smoldering anger and disgust against all
democrats and somehow taint the election.
Prayer amid Chaos
June 7, 2020
I usually read the Sunday articles by Nolan Finley
although I seldom agree with his point of view. This Sunday in Detroit’s Free
Press his opinion revealed an often hidden or understated truth, “But Police
brutality is just the symptom. The disease is inequality. ...We have
allowed a permanent underclass to persist in this country.”
Oddly, though Nolan would not have admitted it, this
lopsided economy is what Bernie Sanders would have tried to fix had he become
president. He wanted to lift all boats. All the economic changes he said we
needed are becoming glaring obvious to everyone today. But no one wanted to get
taxed to fix the problem.
Are they willing to get taxed now? Now that so many
people from middle class have joined the march for justice and shouting that
Black Lives Matter? This is what it will take, more taxes to fix years of
systematic racism, and not just racism, but poverty in general.
Not much more to say about this except it is up to our
politicians, democrats to be specific, to start the process of evening out this
economy so everyone feels included and has opportunity to raise up to any level
they aspire to. But first, the playing field needs to be made even.
Not much we can do except to encourage local
governments to hire more social workers who can take over the small policing
tasks, probably tasks that they don’t want to do anyway. A similar fix began
here in the city when we didn’t have enough police officers. They hired
people on the outside to manage the precinct’s phones. So I’ll whisper in a few
ears and hope to influence some people. Not every hears or is willing to
listen. Oh, well, onward and upward.
Ali H. Mokdad, a health specialist at the University
of Washington, suggests that we, “Defund the police for certain services and
move them to social work. He suggested that domestic violence, youth offenders,
alcoholism, addiction, mental illness and homelessness would often be better
handled by social workers or other non-police professionals.”
Certainly, he is right, but I agree with many readers
of the NYT’s who say the phrase “Defund the Police” is an unfortunate choice of
words. It implies that we don’t want any police at all which is wrong. We
certainly do want police for major crimes, of which America seems to have plenty.
Better if we use the phrase, “Redirect the police.”
On another
subject, I often think about God, the universe and our place and purpose within
it. This morning as I walked behind Jesus up the path to the top of the mountain,
I looked around and saw myself in the holy land, climbing up a steep, rocky
hillside with a lake down below. By the time I reached the top, my view was of
the night sky and thousands of slices of time branching away from where I stood
like ribbons fluttering in a breeze. Then, in a blink of an eye, my vision
changed again until I was looking out across today’s earth, peopled by
billions, beneath a blazing sky of stars and galaxies.
I craved to
somehow join the latest ideas and understanding of our evolving consciousness,
the flow of time, and even the Matrix with the whole universe under God.
How could all these diverse ideas fit together? Dumb of me to try to mix and
match these diverse ideas. I am reminded of the story the priest told last Sunday
in his sermon on the Catholic Network regarding St. Augustine. If there ever
was a person who came close to understanding God, it was him. Most Christian
religious teachings still accept as true his rational thoughts on God.
The story:
St. Augustine was walking along the beach and saw a
young child filling a cup with ocean water and then carry and pour it to a hole
in the sand. He asked the child what he/she was doing. The child answered
“Emptying the ocean.”
He laughed. “How do you think you can empty the vast
sea into a small hole with that little cup?”
The child said, “And you sir, how do you suppose with
your small mind you can comprehend the immensity of God?”
With those words, the child disappeared.
So this is a good lesson for me and all of us who
think we would know the whole truth or immensity of God. We can try, but we
shouldn’t get too disappointed when we don’t get far. It is similar to trying
to know ourselves perfectly; because we could only do this by stepping out of
ourselves, which we can’t do.
Also there is the understanding that God resides in
all life, especially us humans, which is why our lives have such high value. As
far as the child disappearing in the story, it is very much like what happens
today when we meet an angel. If we are lucky, we are given a bit of wisdom at
every encounter.

Travel with Jesus
Three of us followed Jesus as he stepped off the earth. Jesus wanted to show us something. I felt hesitant at first because of all the marches, the cornea virus, our incompetent president, and talk about the next election, so many problems jumbled together. But then, wouldn’t an escape to another place be nice, even for only a few minutes. So I nodded to Jesus and joined two friends as we stepped off the earth behind Jesus.
I always wonder what color I will
see first. On this arrival, I was confronted with all of them at once,
seemingly blowing towards me on a heavy wind. We stood on a seemingly open deck
with blazing lights streaming out all around, below and above us.
A tall women, dressed in a white long sleeve top and loose trousers suddenly stood at the railing with us. She told us that the blazing blue light and surrounding colors that we were looking at was a star in the process of being born. It had been happening for a long time and she and others were here to study its progress. I looked up and suddenly noticed how open to the universe we were and it seemed to be streaming right at us. The women, who said her name was Leaha understood my sudden fear and told us not to worry because we were actually inside a sphere that protected us from the radiation streaming around the new star.
She motioned for us to follow her as she turned around, walked to the center of the sphere and climbed down a ladder. This center was in a shadowy area behind where we had been standing. I saw in my mind the layout of the sphere with the living arrangements in the center and blazing colors all around the outside. We were inside a floating bubble within the Milky Way Galaxy. She pointed out the dining rooms and sleep areas in the center of the sphere. Also, where a few other people were sitting at large screen displays and using instruments that took measurements. As we walked through the center of the sphere, a few people smiled and greeted us, even though we were not physical beings. I noticed that there was just enough gravity to allow the physical people to walk or climb easily. One of my friends, who is interested in astronomy, sat down beside one of the men who showed him what he was doing. I was more interested in how the people got into and out of the sphere. I didn’t see any type of ship anchored to it.
Leaha told me that they got here the same way we did, by stepping off their own planet and into the sphere, but like Jesus, they could make their bodies become physical after arriving. This news is awesome and implies that we humans will develop many talents we can only imagine at this time.
“We are very advanced.” she told us.
When I looked at her with awe, she added. “I envy you your immediate experience
with old earth.”
When I looked surprised. She added, “In our time, Earth is almost gone. For a long time we treasured our original earth and kept it as a garden planet but now it is icing up and erasing every sign of life that went before.”
I remembered Jesus taking us to a new earth once. A planet had been terraformed to resemble old earth, so perhaps that was the reason why. I also remember people enacting various styles of life and scenes from earth on this new planet. Their actions reminded me of a Renaissance Festival.
This sphere we are standing on must be millions of years into the future. If I truly understood time, I wouldn’t feel so shocked. As it is, this bubble they had engineered was too amazing even for my imagination. As we walked closer to the bubble’s outer skin, it seemed necessary to hold onto the railing that surrounded the bubble on all sides. Every part looked outward towards the galaxy. It seemed impossible and contrary to common sense. Still, amazingly beautiful, as were the people.
I left in a much better mood than
when we began. Our visit proves that humans do evolve and will likely stick
around for millions of more years. Hard to imagine. It seems that we are worth
the effort God made to insure our birth

I have been reading a few biblical studies from different authors. They are historians which means that they only concern themselves with the past and leave out the knowledge we’ve gathered through these many years. As I read, my mind keeps bumping into our modern age of galaxies, stars and likely the thousands of civilizations in our own Milky Way. Also, I have learned a lot from Jesus in the last twenty-five years.
In the bible, when Jesus states that his kingdom is not of this world. A modern author should realize that Jesus meant his kingdom was on another planet. Jesus also said where he was going, he would build us many mansions. He meant that there were many planets that could be remade for humans, either to eventually land on with a ship or perhaps he would terraform a planet specifically for humans. These notions make so much common sense and are so obvious to me it becomes hard to ignore them while reading.
Years ago I read most of Zachary Steichen’s books starting with Stairway to Heaven about olden gods and angels and a wealth of this information sticks with me even today. Once, a women’s voice from the future held me captive for a few minutes by explaining the truth of his books. So I accepted the main ideas he put forth, but not everything. He totally leaves out any mention of spiritual dimensions, which to me makes the books less credible. Although, he admits much of it is speculation.
Also, I know that Jesus steps into and out of time. When three angels visit Abraham and one of their group calls an angel, “The Lord,” I suspect that this angel called “Lord” is Jesus walking in the past. I come across a lot of references like this when I read into many religions. Once you know that Jesus and angels can become human in diverse generations or influence its main characters, it becomes impossible to imagine the past without their influence.
Strangely, but maybe it shouldn’t be strange at all, even our sacred bible and other holy texts are rewriteable by God. Imagine a new word inserted into the writings of the bible thousands of years ago. The new message would come down to us as always having been there. It could be like editing my own writing for the web. Even after it is put on the internet, I can go back and change a word or two and no one would be the wiser.
Well, enough far out speculation for
now. Once, when I pondered this question of Jesus vs God, Jesus spoke up and
said, “I am enough God for you.” Meaning that our little minds have all we can
handle, so just accept. I do.
It just occurred to me that I should be putting these writings upside down. The latest should go at the top. Well, maybe next year.
This star formation looks like a flower

As I watched the Catholic Mass on television this
Father’s Day Sunday, it felt like a revelation. The priest, Father John Healy,
had been married for 30 years and so has children and grandchildren. It
hit me as being so right that he should spend his older years serving
people through the church. Life is lived in stages, youth, young adults, middle
age, and old age. A good use of those stages in life would be education,
marriage, and then finally service to humanity. Some religions
recognize this fact.
I feel the need to be useful and give of myself, but
don’t know how. Lately, I have begun to wonder if I could use my talent for
this purpose. I have the ability or talent that allows me to reach out to
certain people mind to mind. I (along with many others) am able to speak to
people even on the other side of the globe. I also think I can give the ability
to speak mind to mind to other people. I am not exactly sure of what I can do,
but I am exactly sure that should try.
I think as long
as I can picture a person in my mind, I can send them a thought. That doesn’t
mean they will pick up on that thought or heed it, only that I have attempted
to get through to that person. Thinking further on this I realize that the
ideal person to communicate with is not a person who is dead set against
science or climate warming, but a person who already agrees we are in danger or
who can be persuaded of its importance. Climate warming is my major theme
because of all the problems that surround us and can be fixed, this one will
affect the whole animal kingdom, including us humans, unless we act, and
quickly.
We can do it with a new president who cares for the
environment, who cares about creating jobs, who agrees that the infrastructure
needs fixing, who believes that every black person has worth, who will carry
this experiment in democracy to new heights. Well, that is a tall order
for any one man, but hopefully our next president will know how to pick people
who can get the job right. This is my prayer, and I intend to help all I
can.

My friend across the sea gave me the ok by a quick nod
that I should write about our walk around the world. I haven’t been writing
much about our gatherings of late. I had an injury four months ago that I am
just now getting over, healing has been a slow, agonizing process. Yet, I think
the experience has humbled me, which is good. We should all learn from
calamities and mistakes. It is my prayer that the whole world learns to take a
step back to reassess our damage to the earth after we finally conquer this
pandemic.
Although it only lasted fifteen minutes for myself,
our walk this day was wonderful and fruitful. We lined up from pole to pole and
marched in giant steps to encircle the whole world, entering every continent,
nation, and island. A number of new people joined us this morning along with
many the angels. One new person insisted she stay in her wheel chair as we
moved over the land, even though as a spirit mind she would be able to stand
and walk if she choose. As usual, we first gathered upon one of the highest
mountains on earth where the air is clean and the sky clear and we could feel
the absence of contrary thoughts. We stood together as if in one mind, as pure
beings ready to receive God’s love so we could then spread that love around the
globe. As more and more of us gathered, I felt an increase in holiness and my
being wanted to soar into the heavens. Instead, God came to us by pouring
love energy in the form of golden light.
Filled and glowing with golden light, we took one
giant step down off the high mountain and then another until our steps covered
the circumference of the globe. As we walked, a cloud of golden love built up
before us and stayed for a while behind after we walked through an
area.
I stopped any time a single person’s face became
prominent during our walk and invited that person to come with us. Everyone I
asked agreed to join us. Other members of our walk also invited people to join
in the march across nations.
As we grew in number so did the intensity of the light
surrounding us. Each of us were like a light bulb in a bright room. This makes
a lot of sense when we remember that God is within and without. God not only
pours his love from heaven but God sits in each of our minds and bodies which
makes our ability to love inherent, it multiplies according to our own effort.
God will pour an infinite amount of love into any one of us if we choose.
I often pick up and hug a tiny baby in need of
nourishment during my walk. Sadly, nourishment is needed is many places.
Holding a small baby always increases my sense of empathy and compassion.
Empathy is something we need to practice often or we tend to lose the depth of
feeling. Our world needs empathy and compassion badly and many of us
would spread more love given the ability. This march of love gives me the
feeling that I contribute a bit of comfort in a small way.
We grew in such numbers today that we lit up the earth
with God’s invisible energy as we moved forward. I looked sideways at my
companions and saw that light surrounded their spiritual bodies. From above, it
looked like bits of gold dust sparkled beneath the sun’s rays wherever we
walked.
We covered America then stepped into the Atlantic
where a few whales and dolphins joined the march. As we humans continued onto
the European continent the whales dropped away. We kept going through the many
nations, across Asia and Russia, the Middle East, Australia, Africa and islands
in the sea. With so many of us walking forward in giant steps we could easily
spread to every nation on earth our compassion and concern for all life.
It was a wonderful morning of prayer even though it
was short for me. Others may have continued after I dropped out. I think many
monks and other deeply religious people are able to keep the compassion of love
flowing for much longer periods. Even so, I am proud to have small part of
our gatherings. (Note-It would be more accurate to say our minds flow over the
land but I like the image of all of us walking or stepping through cities and
over mountains).
A golden wave of love
rolls over the land

It is my hope that when I talk to another person mind to mind and they listen, the fact that they recognize mind to mind communication as true will entice them to use it for good and then spread the ability to other people. I don’t know if this kind of spread is possible or not. If so, it is not magic, but belief. The problem is that science had been telling us for such a long time that such communication isn’t possible, we’ve all come to believe it. Some scientists are beginning to change their minds. Rupert Sheldrke is a good example. He is on Youtube if you want to listen to some of his lectures. Also, the truth may be that an ability such as this could just now be growing in the human psyche. The more we hear that mental communication is possible, the more we will accept the reality of it for ourselves. It is my hope that such an ability, wide spread, will create a new world order by increasing our empathy and concern for other people.
There is a problem with my hope. This ability may not be confined to only good people who have the best interests of their neighbors at heart. I shudder to think how this could be used against us, but I can’t ignore the possibility. Also, so far, I haven’t learned what kind of personality or psyche a person needs to accept the truth of such an ability. I have often wondered if it takes a deep faith in God and a simple life such as a Buddhist or Catholic Monk might live to develop this ability. I don’t know. The first person I ever spoke or nodded to mentally, besides Jesus or angels, was a monk.
I am not a good example, but I am sitting in the Western world which is so fact and wealth driven that it could use a good, hefty shot of soul talk. Also, I am very willing to use and spread this ability for good as Jesus has directed me to do, and have been doing so for many years.
Even so, until lately, I avoided trying to send thoughts to people I am closely acquainted with. I am not sure why not. Perhaps because this ability or talent isn’t up for discussion. I can write about it but never speak of it. I think it might go up in smoke and disappear if I talk about too vividly about it. Certainly, this ability is not ready for scientific study. It can’t be put into a strict structure so easily. Nor, do I want it exposed in a study that would teach nothing but could hinder it and make us afraid to use it.
So I go blithely on enjoying my illusion and or dream of many people learning to speak to each other mentally. If it isn’t true, I don’t want to know. If it is true, I already know. This is enough
I don’t know why some people can hear me speak to them
mentally and some people can’t or if they, in turn, can pass the talent
forward. It may turn out that in future years we’ll learn that some groups have
a different talent than others, like St. Paul said in one of his letters. We
already know that some people are great with plants and can make them thrive
when other people can’t, myself included. Some people are great orators and
other people seem like magnets for other people. There are probably all kinds
of talents we don’t even know about yet. We keep learning and can look forward
to an enlightened future.

I wrote a few comments on the Sacred Heart Facebook page because I wanted to thank Father Thomas for his interesting sermons. His words put vivid images in the mind. His sermons teach by helping the listener better experience Jesus words. Perhaps it helps that he has been a priest for a very long time. Yet, since the virus kept me away from church, I sampled the Sunday mass from a number of different parishes and priests through YouTube. I noticed that not every priest’s sermon makes the gospel vivid or interesting. I guess the ability to speak a great sermon is a gift. It makes me wonder if some people who go to Sacred Heart in Detroit take father’s sermons for granted or do most of the parishioners know what a treasure we receive from our pastor almost every Sunday. Well, I hope I will be well enough to go to church in person one Sunday.

When I meditate, I like to whisper to people about global warming because it is so vital for our well-being, but there is something even more vital and that is love and compassion for other people. Love the only thing that will continue to inch us into a mature race of human beings. It seems there was strife even as far back as 7,000 years ago between diverse people and we continue to misunderstand each other even today.
Sometimes I wonder about a God who would make such flawed people. I admit I am an idealist and truly wish that everyone wanted what was best for all of us. But this is seldom true. The need to belong, or be rich and powerful can easily outstrip kindness.
Oh the other hand, Jesus has shown me often that we do eventually mature into a great race of humans. I guess maturity takes time, a lot of it. I have visited other planets where people get along just fine. Yet, this may be because I choose to ignore visiting any place where they don’t. Jesus has never taken me into a war zone on another planet. I don’t know if people from other planets fight in wars and don’t want to know. And most of the people we have visited didn’t need to worship God outwardly as we do, perhaps because they were content in their own being. We certainly are not. We are still a very primitive people. Still, it seems to me that most of us are trying to move forward and the future proves that we will eventually make it. So all this silly writing is for nothing. Ha.

When
I read the comments section in the NYT’s, they all
voice hope for the coming election, but this president has begun to use the
disruption in the cities to create more chaos. If he can’t start a world war to
stay in office, he would try to start a civil one. Too much strife in the
nation could undermine or disqualify the next election. So I say to the marchers, “Don’t give him that edge. Don’t let
those few, odd people destroy shops or start fires.
Of course, marchers in the Black Lives Matter movement
already know this and have been trying to keep it peaceful from the beginning.
During the civil rights movement of the 60’s. MLK stayed peaceful for a reason,
although I imagine it hurt him to keep most of the anger inside. Yet, his
insistence on a peaceful march was an effective tactic can be just as effective
today.
Peaceful assembly is our right as United States citizens.
To the marchers, I say look around you. Many of those who you can see are
angels and many more who you don’t see are also angels marching right along
with you. When mothers made a line in Portland, unseen angels stood among them.
Heaven walks with those who pray and fight for right.
I had a hard time copying really great photos of Black Lives
Matter.
They are all owned by someone.

I used to read Revelation, ten or fifteen years ago, and struggled to understand its symbols. I no longer read it, maybe because we are now living through its many warnings. What we used to think of as horrific events in Revelation are commonplace today, ex-Hiroshima, Chernobyl, red seas, fires. While reading, I come to realize that the Seven Lampstands were symbols for religion. There were seven main religions that, as predicted, would hold up humanity for the long haul. I could only think of six actual religions that were main stream enough to fit the bill. Christian, Buddhist. Islam. Jewish. Hindu. Taoism, all imperfect but lasting through thick and thin. I was puzzled about the seventh until I included Democracy as the Seventh Lampstand. These seven all have staying power in common along with, unfortunately, flaws and gaps large enough for many disruptive and corrupt leaders to jump through over the many years. Regardless, they stayed and evolved.
I think God chose democracy as one of religions created to help mankind. If we think about it, it is what God gives every human at birth, a life of choice. God was the first democrat, the first to give people a vote as to which direction they choose to live. Make bad decisions if you like, it is your choice. And you can chose good or bad at any point in life, but then, of course, suffer the consequences. The need to live with our bad decisions can seem harsh because we now know how influential our environment is for development, yet, at some point, each of us reaches some kind of turning point where we can choose to take the other road.
All this because I read Jamelle Boule’s article in the NYT’s about the ethics of Democracy and his references to John Dewey’s philosophy and John Lewis’s life, who lived democracy every day. He states, “Trump Doesn’t Know What Democracy Is. John Lewis Embodied It. It is an ethic, a way of living, something that you must do in order to summon it into existence.” The reason to connect Lewis to Dewey is to highlight and emphasize this idea of democracy as a social and ethical commitment, something that cannot be limited to the ballot box, something that must be lived and practiced in all spheres of life. Marching, speaking, deliberating, educating, and persuading— these are just some of the actions that help make democracy real.”
He added...”They’re also the tools we’ll need to defend democracy against the looming threat of autocracy. Lewis wrote. “Democracy is not a state, It is an act, and each generation must do its part to help build what we called the Beloved Community, a nation and world society at peace with itself.”
I wasn’t sure I would put these ideas on my web site. I don’t think anyone reads Revelation anymore so perhaps we should be reminded of the serious dangers we are facing. The way I see it, losing democracy would be a serious act against God. Authoritarianism, which keeps trying to rise up and seems to be invading the world today, is the opposite of the democracy of choice and has little value for the individual human. Surly we can prevent it getting an over large foot print or taking over the United States of America.

I read an opinion article about spirituality and mediumship in the NYT’s today and felt curious about why some people believe in such far out ideas. My mind played with the why of so many odd beliefs and symbols that people held on to. Finally, I came to the realization that belief in strange phenomena continues because it is that it is all there for the asking. It depends on how and what we choose to grab from God’s universal dream base.
I used to think people who believed in magic or spiritual messages from the dead were charlatans. Certainly, not all people who believe in strange things are trying to cheat. Many of people are sincere. So what explains it? People who want to speak to spirits from a different realm don’t seem to realize is that, of course the dead spirits are there because you want them to be there. Everything is there-outside and inside of us. Our minds are amazing instruments able to pick through God’s ever current dream that includes all the past as well as the future. It all exists and we, amazingly, can walk along which ever path we choose in that dreamland.
If you want to know something, pluck it out of the-everything that is God. Well, it isn’t as simple as that. We first need to take many steps in our chosen direction which can be a struggle or revelation or amazing enlightenment or…. Knowledge comes in many forms but it all comes from our creator God.
This understanding is what I have plucked out from my own travels in God’s dream world. It seems to clarify why we humans can believe so many different things, often to an amazing surety. If you feel the need to speak with the dead, then eventually you may find a way because everything and everyone is there within the dream. Even saints in the Catholic Church who listen to our prayers and sometimes heal us might fit this category.
So what is real and
what isn’t real? What does it matter? It doesn’t truly matter what we believe.
What matters is that we use our beliefs for good instead of wrong. This
includes our belief in science, which took many years to overcome magic, and
can be a force for good, or not. Science has many basic truths. But like Huxley
once said, “We find in science only what we are looking for. It is like aiming
a spot light into the dark. We don’t study the dark, only what the light
reveals.”
There is still so much to be discovered with this instrument of mind that God gave us, I don’t think we can ever find the answer to everything, but we will keep searching. And I hope we never discount the power of belief because that is part of the dream too. One day, we may be better able to combine the many avenues onto a single path to awareness.
I was too sick to weed my flowers this year but some flowers grow through thick or thin.

A number of years ago, Jesus took me to a dark, dim place and showed me evil spirits climbing out of a deep well. He said they were escaping back into the world. They were blind and couldn’t see Jesus even though he lit up the shadowy dungeon like a light bulb. At the time, I didn’t understand what this implied but assumed it meant more crime everywhere. I didn’t realize their climb out of the dark also meant that those bad spirits would attempt to overtake the political heads of state in every nation. Now, after the fact, most of us can see this as true.
It seems strange that those bad spirits could overwhelm our political systems so readily or come back into existence as if there were a slew of them held below, shoving and pushing against each other to escape into the open once more. Are there spirits constantly filling up heaven above and hell below?
It seems farfetched, but we truly don’t know what underpins the reality of this world we live in. What are spirits, good or bad, and how do they fit? We left this question in the past when we decided science would take the lead. We look at nature and ourselves and assume we are what we see. But as a few scientists have learned, we evolved to see the world this way. It is our conscious minds that define the world, minds totally immersed in their environment, much like fish surrounded by sea inside and out.
So I think back to the Matrix movie
and accept the idea that our place in reality is not quite what we think.
Although, as to what we should think, I have no answer. The only certainty I have
is to trust in Jesus because he does know. Jesus, the Alpha and Omega,
walks through time from the past to future but also lives within all of time.
This too is unbelievably strange because what we call time is also part of the
question.
Well, maybe Jesus will take me on another strange visit to ‘someplace’ else in our world. Perhaps a redo of that single visit that stuck in my memory so deeply. If so, I’ll write about it here. If not, then I already have enough to think about.
Our world is so amazing. Drops of water on a web look like diamonds in
the sunshine.
I tried to take a photo of a spider web once but failed so I recognize
great photography when I see it.
August 16,
2020-Lecture to myself
When I was much younger, still the idealist, and disgusted with our nation’s inability to change, I thought how nice it would be to have a benevolent dictator run the country. Obviously, it is a contradiction of terms. There could be no such person, and if there was, after a few years, their best intentions would be sweep under by someone’s craving power and greed.
Yes, Democracy is messy. There are always too many opinions and beliefs to take into account. Ideal conditions never seem to surface or stay around or long. This has always irked me and gave me an excuse to dislike politics. I voted, but often reluctantly. Besides, the two sides, it seemed to me, were never that far apart and eventually, the mistakes of one side would balance out in the next election. How things have changed.
Now, even my prayers and meditations are corrupted with political reasoning. Corruption? Maybe not. Maybe this is exactly the direction our prayers should bend during this divisive, untruthful and damaging time. I think about the Holocaust and what might have been prevented had enough people cared or known ahead of time. The modern world was ignorant of the true inhumanity that an authoritarian, dictatorial leader could impose. Hitler, Stalin, and Mao Zedong instigated the deaths of millions of their own people. (I wonder if their spirits match the evil spirits who climbed out of that well.)
Regardless, I am writing this for myself as an assurance that prayers and meditation, though political, directed towards good govern ship is not against heaven, in fact, they follow Jesus’ request that we love our neighbor. I worry and wonder about those who don’t see all people as worthy of care, concern, and love. My own limit might be the need to help a neighbor of ‘good character.’ But God loves all of us without limits, and we should hold this kind of love as our ideal.
So spreading Jesus message of togetherness and love for people, no matter of their beliefs, skin color, style of culture, etc. gives my meditation a worthy cause. And taking it a step further by also spreading the message to vote democratic in order to save our democracy, damp down civil hatred (even war), and fix our over-heating planet doesn’t push against the usual idea of meditation and prayer too much.
When I joined the thousands of other spirits spreading God light this morning, I found out that I can’t actually tell people to vote for a democrat, it just seemed too political during prayer, but I can empress on people the urgency and danger of the issues we face. As we meditate and send love across America, most of us pause often to give an invisible hug where needed. Some of us may whisper words of encouragement. I do that often, but now I add words to encourage people that they need to save our democracy. Many will not hear me or choose to listen, but some might, which makes my small effort worth doing.
Amazing configuration of sun and clouds
Aug 22. 2020
My meditation now includes speaking to people about the soul of America that we need to save and nurture it. Jesus told me ten plus years ago that we are in a battle for hearts and souls. This is a truth that has recently become so obvious that Joe Biden mentioned it in his speech. It is what many of us are thinking. But I have also found that I don’t need to be meditating to spread God light, that during short moments during the day I can send out God energy that includes a slightly more political slant. I try to go to a few people with opposing views, give them a hug full of light, and the whisper they not be afraid. I would like to convince certain people that it is ok if the United States caste system falls apart, that this is the future.
Trying to stop the movement and rise of black or brown or the underclass is like trying to stop a leak in the dam with your fingers. It won’t work. That is, unless you vote in more republican, which can only be temporary because, before long, they will fall away completely. (The only out would be if they made a new rule that only white people can vote, an impossible horror, but who knows…?)
So I mainly try to ease people’s fears. I guess they are
afraid that they might be on the receiving end of what has been done to people
of color in the past. Such an idea, not unfounded, can be frightening but I
don’t think it will happen. The reason is that although some people who
have been through a lot of pain and tragedy get angry, most have learned
compassion for others. Suffering teaches the majority of us feel connected and
akin to other people. And I like to think that through the many years of this
country, most people have grown more compassionate and understanding.
Well it looked that way until the ugly underbelly of police killing was shown to be true and we got a president who likes to spread discord. Yet, we all know more than we did fifty or a hundred years ago. We can see even through our television ads that all people have the same needs and wants and would choose to live normal lives given the chance.
I read “Very Small Comforts” by
Margret Renkl in the NYT Aug. 24, 2020 about how we all find small things to
ease us through this stressful and mixed-up time of covid-19. She mentioned how
getting between clean sheets is a small comfort that makes her feel good. Yes,
clean sheets give me a good feeling too. Also, she reports what many people
wrote to her about their own small comforts. Some women have taken to ironing
pillow cases and masks or hanging sheets out to dry in the sunlight or a
husband repairs the kitchen cupboards.
Each person chooses their own small comfort. I came away from the article wondering about my own small comforts. I think mine is writing. Putting my thoughts on this web site, whether read or not, is what gives me comfort, and serves as enough of an excuse for me to keep doing so.

Perhaps it isn’t my business but the solution to the violence in Portland and Kenosha is for the protesters to go home at dusk. Their message can be loud, clear and peaceful enough during the daylight hours. I commend their persistence but they are playing Trumps hand for him as the looting, fires, and gun totting rebels clash.. If this doesn’t stop, it could start a civil war which is what this president wanted all along. Anything to stay in power.
I have been following the Black
Lives Matter for a number of years and believe in its precepts even more now,
after learning the danger of the relationship between the police verses a black
man. Still, only love and peaceful persistence will change the situation in the
long haul.
But I may old fashioned. Young people are angry and hurt and don’t have patience like the movements of old. During meditation I went to an angry young black man. I held him in an invisible embrace in an effort to lesson his anger. He was smoldering with emotional pain, real pain, as it was his spine shattered by bullets or his own neck closed off by a policeman’s knee. His pain was real and deeply personal as it shook and moved through his body. As I held him, he began sobbing and shedding real tears. He was alone. Our together moment was private and silent. I don’t know if he felt the hug but he might have felt the love I sent him from God. I think all of us need to understand the vividness of the racial pain that many black people are feeling right now. Perhaps something in that young man’s life made his emotional pain more real, but I expect his feelings are shared by many. We need to fix this somehow.

I look around the world, at the buildup and rise of
crazy love for Nazis and other strange organizations built on hate, and think I
must have picked the wrong time to be alive. Well, I guess I didn’t pick it,
Jesus did. So I need to ask, “Why am I here?” I feel like a huge lump of
clay sitting and drying out while the larger world goes kaput all around
me. Can’t I go back to heaven and start again during a better time? I
will eventually, so for now, I just need to put up with the world we have made
for ourselves.
I don’t understand what is going on in people’s heads. Well, maybe I do. They are being converted by the absurd voices who they deem must be gods, else how did they get inside their head. But, truly, if God speaks to you, you better expect his opposite to do the same.
It took me years to differentiate between good advice and
bad, good urges and bad, Jesus and his opposite. At times, I am still unsure so
I let those moments slide by. If it is Jesus who has a request, I will be sure
of it soon enough. So this is a warning to people that something is trying to
get the upper hand and is attempting to take over the world with
whispered lies. Don’t trust that inner voice unless you can keep real love
and compassion in your heart, all else is folly.
This crazy talk inside and out should become muted, (pun intended), when the democrats win in November because a better, moral America will also dampen the conflict elsewhere. Are we already experiencing world war III? Not only is the soul of America at stake this November but the soul of the world.
I
am not the only one who thinks people are being filled with untruths. Here is a
quote from Anna Sauerbrey, “Meet Germany’s Bizarre
Anti-Lockdown Protesters,” NYT’s Aug 30, 2020.
“A strange mix of conspiracy theorists, far-right extremists and ordinary citizens have taken to the streets. Why? It would be wrong to dismiss the protests as insignificant. Behind this strange coalition of ordinary citizens, conspiracy theorists and far-right extremists is the belief that they have discovered a hidden truth, which has been either ignored or nefariously concealed — the same impulse that fuels populist movements across the world.”
I cry every time I hear him sing
this song. [Click on link to hear Louis sing]
We should all be thankful that the world he sings about is still with us. My own neighborhood consists of nice, friendly people. And I notice that when something bad happens in the Detroit area, the neighbors always describe their own neighborhood as nice and peaceful. So we can conclude it is only those, select few who are the bad ones attempting to disrupt our peace, weeds amid the flowers.
Aug 30-Travel w Jesus
It was Jesus
suggestion that we travel today. My two usual friends and two other people
wanted to travel with us. When I sat on my swing in the back yard enjoying the
cool breeze, I saw my friends and Jesus in my mind and knew it was time to
travel. We didn’t walk up the sky tunnel but the five of us followed behind
Jesus stepping right onto a new planet.
The first thing I noticed was the water at
my bare feet as we stepped onto steps that glowed like pearls beneath the
splash of water. A large lake rolling with tiny waves surrounded a line of
white steps leading up and forward to the land.
The steps stopped at an outcropping that looked like a giant had piled
gobs of mud high into the sky where spots of daring bush sprouted here and
there from the reddish brown rock. Our attention was immediately drawn to a
tall, natural, archway that opening in the center of the rock. The streaks of
sunlight shining through made it look like a doorway, which we found to be true
after we continued up the steps and through the opening. We stood in awe at the
panoramic view on the other side.
We saw thousands of garden plots curving inside
a shallow bowl of earth, but surrounded by high, far off mountains. Each garden
plot grew a different color of plant life from its neighbor. It looked similar
to some terraced gardens on earth, seen from the air. The whole vista spread
out beneath shimmering sunlight and a sky filled with fluffy clouds.
As we began to walk forward and down
between plots of different plants. As we did, we were met on a path by a really
tall man, non-human. He might have passed for human except for his long fingers
and limbs and exceedingly narrow face. His skin was so black it shown purple
with red hues from the sun.
I was surprised that he noticed us because
we were invisible or maybe semi-invisible beings to him. Regardless, he, nodded
to us, sent us a huge grin, and motioned for us to follow him. I couldn’t get
over his long fingers and, I suddenly noticed, his feet and toes were very
long too. He wore very simple, loose clothing that didn’t cover his arms or
legs. I got the impression that this area on the planet was very warm and he
was dressed for that warmth
As we followed him, I looked around and
noticed people off in the distance bent over tending crops. Most looked human,
with darkish skin. Many of them wore light, flowing robes tied here and there
for comfort. Some of the garden workers looked like the man who we were
following. We followed him down through the bowl to its center where a large
adobe building stood. We were greeted at the opening by a man wearing a light,
silken robe. I didn’t see any doors, only open doorways and windows.
This person who greeted us was certainly
human. He smiled and spoke to us in words that we heard in our minds, telling
us about the planet and the people who landed there long ago from earth. He
called the exceedingly tall person one of the M…, the natural inhabitants of
the planet. They had agreed to share the planet with humans.
I immediately thought about American
Indians and worried about the M. But the monk, it turns out that most of the
humans who originally came here were monks from different orders, assured me
that they had no intention of over-running the natural inhabitants of the
planet. That they often did activities in common. The M. could see us easily,
but only a few of the humans could see us. The M. brought us to him because he
was a wise one and one of the few humans who could see spirits.
We followed the wise monk into a very
large room where other people, men, women, and M’s were visiting or worshiping.
Their clothing of various colors and designs reflected their many different
cultures. We followed into a smaller room and saw a large round pool that
looked to be filled with water. He gave it a name and pointed to it
proudly.
We nodded. We’ve seen this pool before on
other planets. It acts as a hologram that allows people on different planets to
communicate with each other and gives them news from the Milky Way galaxy. He
told us it was greatly needed here on their planet because they were cut off
from traveling. They had needed to strip their ship of all its parts to build
their village and keep some of the electronic implements intact. He told us it
was interesting how we mind traveled to visit because they had a few members
who could travel in the same way. It was to these few who they entrusted to
pick up small spare parts when needed. Mind travelers could only carry what was
on their persons.
All of us had a very nice conversation
with the monk and with a few other people and finally said goodbye to those we
had met, including the tall M. person who first greeted us.
As we left, walking between the gardens
back up to the rim of the bowl, I noticed groups of children playing in the
distance. I also noticed that some of the natural natives were working alongside
the humans tending to the crops. I marveled at how friendly both races seemed
to one another.
Jesus also assured us that we humans would
eventually grow in maturity and kindness. Kind enough to not overrun an
original native population. We waved at everyone in the fields as we passed and
they waved back. A most happy group of people.
Still, I wondered about too many offspring
and the possibility of filling up another planet like we did earth. But Jesus
told me with a smile, “There are enough planets for everyone. The universe is
huge.”

I wrote this out
for myself in the hope it would make me feel better because writing my thoughts
and worries usually does. I feel very ashamed of my thoughtless action and
wasn’t going to put this writing on the web but Jesus suggested I do so. So
here it is...
I feel horrible. I just killed a cricket.
I feel like I killed Jiminy Cricket. I didn’t even realize what I’d done until
I completed my meditation this morning. A meditation of trying to spread love
and compassion. Just before I began, my cat brought a cricket in the house. It
looked injured and was trying to crawl away. I squashed it without thinking.
Why? It wasn’t a huge spider or snake but a harmless cricket. Why didn’t I
think to pick it up and put it outside?
Am I a symptom of everything that is wrong
with us? Do we do most of our hateful acts, dislikes, and gossip smears without
thinking? Well, I learned a valuable lesson this day. For one thing, how dare I
spread love if I don’t feel or have enough love within myself? Without asking
God to enter me with love and energy I would be running on empty during
meditation. It has taken me a long time in life to learn how to love and feel
compassion, truly.
Well, get off it. I can’t feel
guilty forever. I asked Jesus to forgive me because I just didn’t see what I
had done. I couldn’t ask the cricket to forgive me because it was gone.
Although, I did ask my dog Kali, who was very old and sick, to forgive me after
I had the Humane Society put her down, but figure she is in Doggy Heaven
I can’t imagine a cricket heaven. On the other hand, I put ant traps on my
kitchen sink without any conscious thought at all. Size matters?
Regardless, now I see my own faults
better. It isn’t the first time I have made such a mistake and it probably
won’t be the last. I now have more understanding for Buddhists who value all
life. I also shudder with empathy for those who have killed another human
through accident or unthinking, action. How can they ever forgive themselves
get through life after what they did?
I pray for them and myself that we keep on
learning. After all, isn’t that what life is all about, learning how to be more
loving? This is why the world isn’t ideal, we need to grow into it and gradually
create the ideal, or The Kingdom of God. It will likely take the human race
eons of time for all of us to truly love and feel great compassion. As the
Buddhists say, “Until every blade of grass reaches nirvana.”

My cat Neo is very smart. My morning now
consists of interrupting my reading of the NYT and spending a half hour or more
watching YouTube with my cat. When I went to change the video again, my cat put
his paw on my hand and mouse so I wouldn’t change it or turn it off. Amazingly,
I enjoy watching these videos too, for a short while. But Neo has become a
pest. He wants to watch YouTube all the time. He has always liked sitting on my
lap but now he gets up there and stares at the computer screen waiting for me
to turn on YouTube. But I want to read the newspaper in the morning, so we need
to take turns. I don’t know how to set up the laptop for just Neo to watch. He
would mess with keys and that would be the end of it.
Like most people, I enjoy watching the
birds and other animals eat but I don’t dare feed the birds near my home
because my cat is in the habit of going outside for a hour in the morning and a
few hours in the afternoon, usually when I sit on the swing. I don’t want to
encourage the birds to come into my yard. He brought a bird inside a few times
but I was able to grab the bird away from his playing paws and put it back
outside. He doesn’t kill it. He wants to play. I ‘ve tried keeping Neo inside
but it is near impossible. He is young and vibrant and full of energy. He loves
to catch bugs in the grass and play with them
Also, I won’t feed the squirrels because I
have one that I see running up and down my roof and another one made a hole and
is now nesting inside the walls of my upstairs office. Those little black
squirrels seem mean and far too energetic. Our whole area is filled with them,
mostly the little black ones that I see running up and down trees and roofs.
Sometimes I can hear a squirrel roll a nut or something down my roof late at
night. My fear is that it will fall through the ceiling one day, but surly that
isn’t possible. I may need to buy a trap if the squirrel situation gets worse
and have my son take it to Belle Isle and let it go. Is that illegal? Don’t
know.

I get it. The Republicans
will do anything to get a conservative judge on the Supreme Court. But why, oh
why is anyone, especially a Christian, conservative?
I admit that I am an idealist. It is hard
for me to understand why everyone doesn’t have the same goal--the well-being of
all humanity. Certainly, few people have come close to achieving that goal,
yet, if we choose to follow God it is up to us to try. My idealism makes me
cringe at the conservative point of view. Feeling conflicted about this, and
unable to get back to sleep at 12:30 am, I looked up conservatism on
Google.
“Conservatism in the United States is a
political and social philosophy characterized by respect for American
traditions, republicanism, limited government, support for Christian values,
moral universalism, pro-business, opposition to trade unions, strong national
defense, free trade, anti-communism, pro-individualism, …
“Liberals believe, first of all, that the
rights of the individual are paramount to those of the state - any state. They
believe all individuals must be accorded the opportunity to fashion their own
lives and grow to the limit of their own potential. They believe in promoting
an equality of the human condition.”
Given these two sets of goals, only one of
them follows the decree of Jesus to love our neighbor as ourselves. Unless a
person takes the narrow view that our neighbor is exactly that--the person down
the block, family, and friends--groups which tend to exclude many other
people.
I find it hard to understand Christian
values if it doesn’t mean the well-being of all people. The only value I
am certain a conservative holds is a dislike of abortion, yet, at the same
time, killing those same young people in war and allowing everyone to
carry a dangerous gun is just fine? So destroying human life and killing is a
good Christian value in some circumstances but not others?
I doubt that Jesus would accept the value
of destroying human life for any reason considering that he told us to “Love
others as I have loved you,” which included great suffering and giving his life
for us.
When God gives us light/energy to carry
and share around the world, we wouldn’t dare share it with only certain types
of people. I wouldn’t skip around a prison carrying God’s light only to avoid
the criminals living within.
Well, my thinking may be topsy-turvy and
silly this early in the morning. I have read that Michigan’s congress is
working right now to improve the conditions of prisons and to reform the
situation that puts people inside. So both the democrats and republicans in
Michigan are concerned with the prisoners’ well-being. Reform is deeply needed
and I pray they achieve their goals.
Truly, our prison
system needs to be reformed and fixed.

I finished watering the new grass seed in the back yard and sat down on the swing when Jesus suggested we travel for a few minutes. My mind was on the smells of earth because a friend had helped me spread compost over the back yard yesterday and the earthy aroma was wonderful. This may be why when three of us and Jesus stepped onto the new planet I was drawn into a damp marsh. The grass was taller than me and huge, white flowers as large as my hand were scattered here and there on strong stalks. Pockets of water flowed between the grasses reflecting a blue sky. We were on a planet very much like our earth. The soggy ground didn’t bother us because we were not physical. As we moved forward, we found a path of built up mounds winding through the grass and flowers. It looked like people had built up the mounds to walk on.
This proved true when we stepped beyond the tall grass and into a large clear area with gardens scattered around. We met a human who was bent over digging up a root crop. The crop looked unusual. It was long, white and shaped like a large cork screw. The human noticed us, smiled and stood up to greet us with a nod. We followed the women through the garden as she pointed out various crops. One crop was a deep green and looked like collard greens but the plant was almost as tall as I was. I looked at Jesus for conformation. He told me that these people were very spiritual and crops grew in excellent form for them.
He explained that most people who left earth chose to escape its business and industry so began agrarian societies on other planets. He added that a few planets were completely given over to industry but they are rare. Eventually most humans will learn to value of all God’s creations and earth will become a garden planet.
“So the people live very primitive lives.” I said, “But what if someone gets sick?”
Jesus told us serious sickness was rare because the people had the ability to heal most sickness.
I thought about the laid back type of life these people must live. We have met other people from earth living similar lives. As we left, I wondered what would happen if some other group with bad intentions came to their planet and mentioned this worry.
“It can’t happen,” Jesus said, “Only a very spiritual person knows how to travel with their mind. Such a person can then become physical and live on the new planet.”
A few times Jesus had taken me to planets that were
kept hidden from the rest of humanity, probably from people who still used
space ships.
It was Jesus idea that we should travel today and I think
he did so to give us an important message: Take care of earth. Jesus has told
me that he will not allow us to destroy the earth. I expect this means that we
can only misuse it so far before he steps in or allows earth itself to quash
our damaging behavior. Perhaps this corona virus is Gaia’s way of slowing us
down. Wouldn’t it be good to keep the slowdown permanent? Why not? The air is
cleaner, fewer people are flying, the oil and gas industry has cut back, and
many automobiles sit idle.
Does Jesus direct nature? I don’t know but he certainly
could if necessary. Gaia as Mother Nature tries to keep everything in balance through
the oceans which absorb carbon dioxide and the forests that give us oxygen, but
our misuse keeps throwing earth off balance.
Are we being given
a lesson? If we can live with less for these
few months, why not longer? It truly is possible to sustain the earth and
ourselves at the same time if we choose to do so. Watch David Attenborough’s
latest Netflix documentary: “A Life on Our Planet.” It shows through his own
life what happened to earth and when the greatest damage began. At its end he
shows us what we can do to begin the turnaround towards a sustainable future.
Also watch “Kiss the Dirt” on Netflix. It shows how even large farms can become
part of the solution. Plus, we don’t need to stop eating meat to save the
planet. Free roaming cattle that eat pasture land actually protect the earth
from damage. Free roaming chickens are also good for the planet and us because
they need less chemicals in their bodies to stay healthy. There is so much good
we can do with the right leader to guide us. We must vote to save the earth and
ourselves.

My mind was so filled with love of life
this morning I feel I needed to share it with the world. So I turned on the
rosary as background prayers and went to meet many other people who meditate
and feel the same. When we gathered, we
called on God to imbue the air with love like the ocean is filled with water.
We carried this tsunami of deep ocean/love wave around the whole of the globe.
The wave splashed ashore through every city, over topping high rises and
buildings even reaching into the sky. The wave washed through towns,
inside mountains, and deep into the earth as it covered all people and life.
I felt my spirit sway with the wave’s movement as its front splashed ahead with our thousands of minds pushing it forward. Light wove throughout the whole of earth until finally, all of earth swam in a deep abiding love/energy from God.
What kind of person doesn’t feel love for the earth? I think most of us love and feel respect for our planet and the life living within its sphere. Most of us, if given the time to think about it, would vote for nature and its continued life. Earth’s main problem is that leaders tend to act for themselves instead of the needs of life and earth. With so many of us truly in love with the trees and animals and produce and oceans and families surly we can convince our leaders to put less emphasis on the money industry and act for the benefit of earth. We may need to pay higher taxes to accomplish real change in the beginning, but it will be worth the price as our gift to later generations.
Besides, we, of this generation created much of the
problems earth now face. We drive the economy by our need for cheaper products
and unnecessary wants. Somehow we must all learn the advantages of living a
laid back life. We are doing so already because of this corona virus. All we
need to do is make sure we keep the best of what we have learned and let the
rest of the busyness and unneeded oil industry slowly die. What we will be
doing is cutting back on greed at the same time we relearn how to supply energy
that truly works for life instead of against it.
Oct 15, 2020
During meditation
this morning, I spoke to God. I have been extremely concerned about our
politics and the threat to the environment. I wanted to ask… Why have you made
us so selfish that big oil investors planned to keep pushing CO2 into the sky
even after they knew how dangerous it was? Why did we go the route of gas
guzzlers in the first place? Why did we elect an instigator in Chief? Why can’t
ordinary people see how destructive this president is? And most of all, why are
we heading into some kind of civil war for no reason? I think about the
thousands of young men dead from the last civil war and the horror of it all.
Of course I didn’t ask any of these questions.
Instead I just
asked, “Why did you make us with such faults? We are just ants running around
with our own selfish busyness while the world crashes around us. This is the
question and image I sent to God up on that mountain, a round world covered
with billions of army ants.
God said, “You are
not ants. You have the potential to become Gods.”
I was suddenly
gripped with shame along with a depth of understanding at the truthfulness of
God’s words.
As I joined the others sending light
around the world, I kept thinking of God’s words. Yes, we were created in the
image of God. This means that our consciousness, like God’s, can grow into
unbounded awareness. The sky has no limit. God’s words give the ultimate value
to us humans. This same value has been implied by most religions and many deep
thinking people. So it seems that we are steadily, and slow as snails, marching
forward towards blissfulness. Yet, today’s growth feels like a long, slow,
sludge into chaos. I despair but perhaps I am looking for growth in the wrong
places.
Yes. Forget the news and politics and the
greed that has overtaken us. Look instead at the people who still greet you
with smile, pray in churches, meditate in homes, and give aid and hope to
others most in need. This is the essence of God’s meaning and promise. This is
the path into forever. This simple thing we call love. If and when we
learn to love like God then…
The idea that love is all we need
seems almost too simple. And for those who want science to define who we are
and what we will become look towards the new scientific/spiritual thinkers.
Thinkers such as Donald Hoffman and Rupert Sheldrake. They bring science into
an ultimate awareness of the full universe filled with mind. Donald Hoffman
says that our minds create consciousness. I believe him, but I am not qualified
to explain exactly what he means so I suggest you check him out on YouTube, and
Rupert Sheldrake too. They both speak eloquently on the subject of mind and
science.

I had a sudden understanding
in church this morning at the second reading of Paul to the Thessalonians
1:5-10 “...Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.” This
understanding was reinforced by Father Thomas talk about how we transition
towards God. What I realized was that St. Paul also transitioned since his
introduction to Jesus. Maybe he came to understand that a final disaster would
befall us humans and the earth one day and that Jesus was here to save us from
ourselves. And it has taken so far, two thousand years plus, for Jesus to do
it.
God’s love for us is so great that he
allows us to make our own decisions. Therefore to save us from creating a
total disaster on our world, Jesus and the angels needed to start giving us nudges
and urges us towards better goals a long ago. I have said before that Jesus
walks through time and I meant it literally. Jesus truly did begin a new
age. One that worked overtly and quietly behind the scenes and through time to
convince humans it was more important to love one another then destroy. Have we
learned the lesson yet?
If we only knew what Jesus does for us
every day and will continue to do we would never forget to thank him for our
lives and this round beautiful world.

I feel great hope
for all of us beginning on January 20, 2021. The reason stems from the
realization that when people are indoctrinated into a cult and the leader is
removed the people tend to wake up from their mass hysteria. At least, I
hope this is true. Maybe I’ll look into this further. What happened to the
people left alive after Jim Jones cult was over? Was the shock enough to change
their thinking? According to the socialist Janja Lalich, for some people the
mere absence of their leader will jolt them into seeing the light. Some
may stick for a while or follow other members of his family.
It is vital that he be removed. The whole
world or at least most of the rational people within it are concerned
about the coming election in the United States and who the next president will
be. It is of benefit to very nation that the US gets a real president who will
imbue the White House once again with common sense, dignity, and honor. An
article by Thomas L Friedman, “When my President Sang ‘Amazing Grace’ in the
NYT’s reminded us all this morning that, once upon a time, we did have a
president who was dignified, honest and caring. His article reminded the
readers of President Obama’s empathy for those people killed in the church and
his concern for all the people in America.
Today, many US citizens who think
rationally can deduce when they are being played with and manipulated. We
understand what is at stake in this election. God help us get past this huge,
selfish, greedy bump in our current political system.
Most people in their daily lives are
decent, law abiding, tax paying and family loving members of society. This
holds true even though many may be caught up in cultish thinking. This
knowledge is what gives me continued hope for the America I have always
believed in, for the America that continues to change for the better by
including and accepting all people inside its domain. This is the America I
want to live in, not America perfect, but America willing to learn, to care, to
grow, and to love.

Nature never fails
to amaze me. I can be walking in the yard and see a weed or flower so beautiful
it makes me pause and stand at attention. There is some kind of baby tree or
bush growing in my Iris patch that I intend to keep even though it doesn’t
belong just because I like the shape of its leaves. I also allow grape leaves
and vines to grow above the front windows of my house because the birds like to
land in the leaves on windy days.
I think some of this awe and love for
nature has increased since I became sick last winter. It has taken me all this
time to get back on my feet, though I still need to sit often. Today, I went
out and raked leaves off the sidewalk in the back yard. I left the leaves on
the grass for the worms and bugs to inhabit and nourish the soil. I also raked
leaves off the cement slab where my garage used to be, leaves that sat there
for a year, and was amazed at the transformation that had already begun. The
leaves were already creating soil from the rotting leaves.
God has given us an amazing earth to
inhabit. I dearly hope this current virus gives all of us a new lesson in what
is most valuable in life. Many people have needed to slowdown. Maybe this long
pause has become a teaching moment. We need to treat the earth better than we
did before. If we give our earth more care it will reward us with greater
riches than money can ever buy.
A setting so serine I can almost breathe in its freshness
Nov 4, 2020
I
am greatly disappointed in my country and the unthinking choices people have
made. It really shocked me to see how many people voted for Trump who is a
proven liar, cheat, and other things I probably don’t know about. As I
write this I still don’t know who won the Presidency or Senate although I
believe Biden will win. Still, this doesn’t excuse the bad choices many people
made. I feel sad and dejected because of it. As I write this, the results
aren’t in yet about who won the presidency but however it turns out, it won’t
lift this feeling of wrongness.
Plus, I didn’t know the people in Kentucky
were so well off. They voted Mitch back in to the senate, the single hold out
for another Cares Package. I truly don’t understand why. I also don’t
understand the votes in Florida for Trump where a lot of older folks live.
By the time we grow older our BS detector should be working full steam.
Evidently, this isn’t always the case. Plus I saw a young Latino say she was
afraid of Biden’s socialism. She believed Trump’s lies as did many other
people. Why wasn’t she told about the Wall of Lies in NY with Trumps 20,000
lies spread out on post-it-notes? I just learned about it a week ago. Seems to
me the Democrats failed in their messaging.
I can vaguely understand someone
out west voting for Trump because of perceived toughness and gun ownership.
Also I know that many people voted just because he is republican and therefore
against abortions. As if abortions were the greatest danger America faces at
this time. Never mind the burnt and flooded homes that will increase if we
don’t stop climate warming. Some people figured he made the economy
great, no matter the millions still out of work. I guess a large number of
people voted for a single issue, never mind the threat of dictatorship and
extreme selfishness that Trump portrays.
We were warned of these events in Revelation.
But who needs to read Revelation now that we are living it. America has some
very deep problems, so deep that its turn on the world stage will likely soon
end unless we all find our better angels.
It happened to numerous other great nations in the past. And we’ll
have only ourselves to blame.
According
to Jane Mayer, “Trump has famously survived one impeachment, two divorces, six
bankruptcies, twenty-six accusations of sexual misconduct, and an estimated
four thousand lawsuits. Few people have evaded consequences more cunningly.
That run of good luck may well end, perhaps brutally, if he loses to Joe
Biden.”
If the democrats do win, we need to continue teaching the
rest of America about these truths. Biden has promised to work for all Americans
if he wins. For my part, I’ll keep praying and spread God light to all people
because everyone is worthy of love and respect no matter their views.
Wall of Lies
Nov 7, 2020
The bad
dream is over. Unless...well I don’t want to allow my imagination to run too
strong. What I do hope is that we all learned a lesson. Certainly, the news
agencies for pushing the sensationalism of Trump’s off color statements
to such high status. And myself and others for enjoying their choice of news
that lacked the censorship of truth. It even took PBS a few years before they
began to call out a lie for what it was instead of giving it newsworthy status.
This could
have all been avoided if Trump had been kicked off the stage after his first
unpolitical, name calling rant. Real politicians just don’t behave like that
and he should have gotten no further, but maybe we needed this lesson to wake
up and pay attention. I know I did.
Perhaps this year
also taught us about ourselves and our vulnerabilities regarding the
economy, how insidious a virus can be, and the other faulty areas of our
nation that seem to be tearing us apart at the seams. I believe our new
President and other politicians will begin to fix what ails us but the job
ahead will be tremendous and may prove to be impossible.
I am but a
grain of sand on the beach but I will help in any way I can. Like many other
people, I will keep praying for the leaders who need to make the hard
decisions. And, at least for now, the whole world is breathing out a sigh of
relief.

I felt
the whole world give a huge sigh of relief when Joe Biden was elected president
of the United States. It means real hope for the future. Although the work that
needs to be done will be tremendous, I believe that President Biden will put
the right people in the right places to get it done. We know so much more now
than before about the many disasters we are facing, but we also have the means
to begin correcting our past mistakes. All it takes is good leadership.
I am
sure that Jesus working with thousands of angels, plus meditation and
prayers by a large number of people, and the many reasonable thinkers is what
got us through this most seriously dangerous pivot point. We may have just
pushed past the apocalypse that has been foretold in Revelation and by many
other far seeing people.
Now, we
have been given another chance and it is up to all of us to nurture the earth
and the people upon it. The slowdown during this virus shows us that we can put
the brakes on, we can lower our use of oil, and we can reduce our extravagant
life styles. The big worry is what do about people’s livelihoods? What source
of income will people have if we continue this needed slowdown? It is a huge
problem. Perhaps we will invent enough jobs in clean energy to replace the jobs
that will be lost.
Speaking of people, right now my biggest worry is the
many people who believed the lies they were told for the last four years and
are still being told. How can they be helped to understand? It is vital that
they do so or else many will feel cheated and perhaps smolder with resentment.
This will not be good for the US. Yet, when we push politics aside, we find
that most of our families and neighbors are good, kind, and caring. Perhaps if
we concentrate our efforts in holding on to the good relationships we all have
those many lies will just slip away into a foggy sunset.
I think we need a good bridge right now. This one is beautiful.

Where does free speech end and hateful
destruction begin? I truly think that the law should be able to step in to stop
televised talk that is destructive to human life. Some of the people speaking
on Fox News are telling lies for their own aggrandizement. I don’t watch Fox
News but read the words of what a few of their famous TV personalities said.
Probably, these people are not real journalists but mere entertainers.
Unfortunately, many people can’t seem to sort out the difference. So it should
be up to our legal system to sort it out for them. Not sure what could be done
except to sue certain people for hate speech or put a disclaimer on certain
programs?
How do we get truthful information to
people who don’t read or listen to regular news programs? Can the fact that
their friends or acquaintances get sick teach people? Maybe. But like most of
us, we only think bad things happen to the other person, such as car accidents.
If we were to really think about the dangers we confront every day, none of us
would drive or fly or… So unless it happens to someone close to us, we don’t
pay close attention. The virus only hits other people.
Personally, I only knew two people who
died from the virus and I wasn’t close to either of them. I wear a mask because
I believe the doctors and experts from the newspapers and on the news programs
I watch. What if everything I watched said otherwise? This makes for a real
dilemma of great proportions. And some politicians are using this dilemma for
their own selfish purposes, which usually center on greed for more wealth.
I feel constricted by this fake reality
that is being pushed at so many people. I thought the effort might be over,
that everyone’s prayers were successful and that our extreme prayers would be
enough. It wasn’t. The need to continue meditations and prayers to increase the
better path hasn’t ceased. Actually, all the religions have been aware of this
continuing battle for centuries. The effort is always ongoing and the people
pushing for good dare not rest.
We agree that people need to be
deprogramed from their latest wild, cultish belief. But I ask myself, what is
the difference between their wild beliefs and my own? How many people have read
this web site and think I am crazy because I believe thousands of angels walk
on earth, that I have traveled to other planets with Jesus, that I have met
people in the future, etc. The difference between my beliefs and theirs
is that I add to the wonders of human nature, they detract from it. My writings
tend to give hope and show the best that we can become, the best that we will
become.
Have a Happy and Merry Christmas
